What is source of duck? US or China?

Answer by ChewyJun 21, 2018
The duck in this recipe is sourced from France. Merrick crafts their recipes with the freshest, highest quality ingredients available. Most of Merrick's ingredients come from the USA, however, in certain circumstances some ingredients may be sourced from China due to availability. Each and every ingredient must meet Merrick's own rigorous quality standards. Ingredients are tested upon arrival, samples are tested throughout production, and all pet food is tested before they release it for sale.

Does this have chicken in it? The ones I have bought previously did not. The picture of the can does not show chicken but the picture of the ingredient do. Please clarify.

My very picky Ckcs would not eat his food. I started with kibble which was exactly what the breeder was feeding (Royal Canin puppy.bHe refused to eat it. I tried a few more brands but he didn't eat those either. I tried frozen raw diet then farmers dog but he would still wait three days before giving in. He is now 16 months old and I tried a few of the merrick flavors but he wouldn't eat any of them but I found the merrick canned duck and I mix it with TASTR OF THE WILD PRAIRIE FORMULAS. I do have to consult with my vet though because now he is overweight. Just thrilled I found something he'll eat But I think between the two brands I am feeding him too much. So I cut him back to 1/2 c of dry and one tablespoon of the canned. He still thumbs his nose up on occasion but I'm not as panick stricken as I was first trying everything I could think of I tried toppers but he wouldn't eat that either.
