Is the 13.2 Oz can the same consistency as the small toy-size cans? My dog loves it, but I want to try the large can.

The Merrick Classic Grain-Free Grammy's Pot Pie Recipe Canned Dog Food consistency would be chunks in gravy.

Can I get a variety pack of Merrick canned dog food?

Answer by ChewyNov 27, 2019
At this time, we're unable to customize cases with different formulas. However, Merrick does offer the Merrick Lil' Plates Mini Medley Grain-Free Variety Pack Adult Dog Food Trays as an option.

Loved the name of this wet canned food

I bought it because I liked the name of the wet food: Grammy's Pot Pie. My dog gobbled it all up. It is a bit too packed in the can and you have to scoop it out

’ve been feeding Merrick canned on my dogs’ kibble for 13 years. After my local feed store closed I started ordering online. I subscribed to Grammy’s Pot Pie because the consistency is very wet and good for mixing with dry food. Up until August 2025, it was a 5 star food, even with my Standard Poodles. But Merrick changed something, and now it’s drier, and dense. I went out and found a can locally of the “old” style to compare and I’ve attached some comparison photos. I canceled my subscription and ordered a different flavor but if that flavor is the same consistency as the new Grammys pot pie, I’ll be looking for a different brand to feed my dogs.

Too mushy, dog does not like

My dog just does not like this particular food. It is mushy and it leaves her poo very mushy too. I would return the case if I could. I guess I will have to donate

Grammy's Pot Pie

This canned food is very thick and packed in. It looks to have some veggies in it but does not smell like Grammy's pot pie. Beware if feeding to a 5 mo old puppy

I used to get a variety pack for my dogs, then they stopped ever having that in stock. Then I shifted to this cause it used to be a good wet food then they changed it and now it’s a dry crusty right from the can almost powdery chunks with a new and disgusting smell. I wish companies would stop making everything worse.

I have bought this granny pot pie for a long time now. You open the can and it’s wet enough to saturate the kibble. This last case was one large piece not wet almost like cardboard which you have to crunch down with a spoon to get it to mix. I have used 2 cans so I would like a refund on this product to order hopefully a better product for my dog
