Using the chart on the back of the package, divide the total cups per day by the total number of times you feed your dog per day to determine the portion size for each meal. Keep a clean bowl of fresh water available at all times. Every dog is a little different, so optimal feeding amounts may vary with age, size and activity level. Please use the information below as an initial recommendation only and adjust when needed. Dry and wet food in combination will help to increase the level of water in your dog's diet. If feeding with wet food, reduce dry amount by 1/2 cup for every 6 oz. of wet food.

Vet recommended feeding a dry food with simple ingredients. All the other Dry food had always been something that i offered my dog and end up tossing after it gets stale from sitting there after she refuses it. this is the first dry food in 4 years that my dog not just ate but emptied the bowl and refused wet food. Best thing is that this a food I can feel good about feeding her with simple ingredients.
Carl was fickle with his food until this. I order it one day and its here the next. Will keep buying from Chewy, They rock.
This Merrick kibble is a high quality food to begin with that my spoiled, picky-eater Kelpie will actually eat. She seems to like the flavor & I know she appreciates that the pieces are quite small and easy to crunch. But I, her human servant, appreciate that this kibble is fish-free since she has a fish allergy & most dog food contains added fish oil. I hope they keep making this!
Not a brand that you can find in every store, and since we started her on this and would like to remain on this, I was happy to see you carried it. So nice to have it on my auto ship and I don't have to worry about it.
I can't say it's all that because my dogs aren't going crazy for it. They eat it because that's what is in the bowl.
I have spoiled Sidney with sharing my food, but when he gets done eating my food he loves to eat Merrick healthy grains ,raw coated kibble real chicken & brown rice. My food is his appetizer ,then eats his kibble ,to fill him up the rest of the way.
So far they both seem to really like it and they both can be very picky!
We tried to switch over our dog to this food by easing her into it. One day in she got really sick, which has never happened before. Surprised based on all of the good reviews here.
My dude was pretty excited to try the kibble and he definitely wolfed it down. The only drawback stars is I wish the food was just sized a bit bigger so it encourages more chewing~
Our dog was excited to try this. She was digging in the box when I opened it. The little demon knew it was for her, so I was a little worried that it was going to have a pungent smell. When we opened the actual bag though, it really did not have much of a smell at all. I gave her a handful to try and her more or less inhaled it. The kibble pieces are small, so this would also be good for a smaller pup. (Ours is a 70 lb super active black lab/german shepherd mix.) This food did make her eat a lot faster than we like her to (she eats and drinks so fast sometimes she makes herself puke) so we broke her feedings into 4 times a day +treats instead of 2 times per day + treats. We usually feed her grain free because she gets a weird tummy sometimes with some foods, this has not seemed to cause any digestions issues though, and she is really enjoying it. We are going to keep this in her diet mixed with her other grain free food. She eats 5+ cups a day due to being active. (5 mile runs 3-4 times a week - plus hiking on the weekend (15.7 mile trail behind our cabin) and she self throws her ball up and down the stairs enough that she has made a wear path in the wood that was installed a month ago). Her vet reccommended her to continute having some grain in her diet since it is better for their hearts, and we hadn't fou d one we could add in that was working. This one seems to have done the trick though.
