Merrick recipes feature top levels of glucosamine and chondroitin to support a pet's healthy bones and joints. Although glucosamine and chondroitin are not recognized as essential nutrients by the AAFCO Dog Nutrient Profiles, Merrick does include them in the Guaranteed Analysis for each food recipe. Glucosamine is a molecule synthesized from sugars and amino acids. It is a component of joint and intestinal tissue and is involved in the production of synovial fluid, which lubricates the joints.

Most of Merrick's ingredients come from the USA, however, in certain circumstances some ingredients may be sourced from China due to availability. So far, they are eating it. I usually end up throwing food away that has sit all day, but this one is being eaten a little here, a little there. My only concern
