Please don't purchase
This bed fleece sheds creating a choking hazard for the dog. I put my puppy down to see her new bed and she tried to rough up the surface by digging and I have fleece everywhere (she is all of 7lbs)! In addition, she, being a puppy put it in her mouth. Thankfully I was watching her, immediately picked up the fleece and the bed but I am still finding some fleece. I did wash it and dry following the manufacturer's recommendation prior to introducing it to her. Chewy was amazing refunding my money and the bed has been destroyed and thrown out. Please don't buy-keep your baby safe!
Nice Low Priced Mat
This is an okay crate mat and might be better with a wire cage. I ordered it to go with a Frisco ultimate cage. It fits the cage perfectly but wish it was a little thicker on the bottom since the ultimate cage is rolled bars, not wire. As far as my dog liking the bed, she stretched out in it as soon as I took it out of the box, so no issues with it not being liked. Also nice it can be tossed in the washer, sheds a little but enough of an issue I would not purchase another.
Nice crate pad
Ordered this to supplement the pad in a new crate we purchased and it fits the bill nicely. It's soft, well made and should wash up well, just haven't had long enough to need washing. The only draw back is it is shedding some with little tufts of fleece in the crate and on the floor but feel this will subside over time.
Be Prepared to See it Shed
Great price on this 18inch crate mat in a honey color, but be prepared to see it shed a great deal. It serves the purpose, and what can you expect for that very low price. That's probably why it was marked down that low.
Soft and comfy
Dogs loved it right away. My lab and GWP can cuddle together on it. The only issues is the material comes off in clumps, I thought somehow I kept getting lint balls from the dryer out in my living room and realized it was from this bed. Its now out in the doghouse serving its purpose.
Perfect Fit for Crate
We purchased this bed as a liner for the soft sided crate we bought for our ever growing Labrador Retriever puppy! It is a perfect fit and he has loved sleeping on it . He will often go into the crate and nap during the day! A very good product for the price!
Too short for 18 inch crate and not that soft.
This bed was not that soft and a few inches short for our 18 inch pet carrier but we kept it because we needed a bed that fit our carrier and this one was ok. We plan to put a nice, soft blanket over it.
My Cats Love It, Under Their Terms
24 inch. Recommended. My budget isn't ready for one of the big, elaborate cat trees I want to get them, so I built my cats a wonderland from cardboard boxes. It has a tunnel, hidey spots, a good climbing height, and two sleeping cubby holes. I named the structure Mount Kitty-manjaro. I used these fleece mats in the sleeping cubby holes. My cats love Mount Kitty-manjaro, but never went in the sleeping cubby holes. I pulled out the fleece mats to store them away, and my cats crowded on to one of the mats and fell asleep. So, my cats love the fleece mats as long as the mats are on the floor. And, my cats now roam in and out of Mount Kitty-manjaro's sleeping cubbies. Cats gonna cat. They like the mats (in their new location), so I'm happy.
Didnt do well in the wash
We bought several of these to line the crates for our dogs. My husband found a dog at him work when there was a Forrest fire and brought him home and we think the dog was dumped because he is really skinny and coughing.. anyway we are waiting for his vet appointment rigt now. He puked all over this pad, it did not wash well. They sprayed it with a water hose and washed it in the washer and it still came out dirty, but his new toys we also just got came out fine. I thought the lining on the bottom of this bed was a bit thin as well.
Bed never stops shedding
I wanted to like this dog crate bed. I was hopeful for a lightweight dog bed that can be used anywhere. After 6 washes, this bed is STILL shedding. A lot. Not worth the sale price I paid because all the shedding is a significant, extra frustration to fight against to keep the house clean. Made me feel like I got another dog.
