Used to construct escape-proof pen for cat surgery
These pens are great. I had gotten a 48-in one for my dog years ago and purchased a 30-inch one when I needed to find a way to keep my cat safely confined after two knee surgeries. I learned some tricks after the first time and ended up with the perfect cat recovery area! First I set up the 30" pen in a square around a table of the same height. Then I attached two panels of the 48" pen to form the "roof", supported by the table. I attached foam pipe insulation around the bottom and where the "doors" and top meet to keep it from making too much noise if another pet or human bumps into it (one of his sisters ran into it and scared the daylights out of everyone the first time!). Zip-ties securely attach the sections of the top and sides that I didn't need to open. I used the walk-through gate section as a quick way to get to the litter box (attached a piece of cardboard since there's a furnace vent on the floor to the left and I didn't want litter going down it) and I left one side of where the ends of the gate meet in front to open and close for feeding and attention. Whatever your use might be, these are great sturdy pens!
Definitely NOT Gold
Although advertised as "Gold Zinc" this play pen is definitely not the gold but rather green, pink & purple-ish. I tried my luck but to no avail. It is easy to set up though, simply unfold it clip it & you're done. It also folds rather nicely for storage.
Not worth it
I got this thinking it would be a great way to keep the puppy contained nearby while I do things around the house. Unfortunately the quality is sub-par and a latch came bent. He was also able to escape. He is currently only 16 lb and 1.5' tall... I plan to try to return.
Very substantial heavy duty dog pen
This gold dog pen is about twice the weight and strength of the black powder coated pens. This would work well with large dogs and bigger animals.
Perfect height and color
I needed something for my apartment balcony to blend in so it wasn't noticeable. The gold tone was perfect up against the wood railings. It is a perfect height to where my kitties won't attempt to climb onto the railing
Good for small dogs
I like this pen a lot. It’s easy for my people to get me in and out. I’m only 12 lbs but I can still move the sides and the black protectors don’t do much. A bigger dog could easily push it around on a hardwood floor.
Appears to have been used
I was under the impression I would be receiving a brand new item but the pens I ordered appear to have been used in the past. They have obvious signs of wear and tear such as dents, erosion, and fading coloring all around. The price doesn’t see to match quality. Very satisfied with how quickly they were delivered just was not expecting them to appear so run down.
Great Product!
Bought this product assuming that I would make an outdoor space for my puppy to be free to potty without worry. Luckily didn't have to use this much as she turned out to be really good at listening and staying in the yard. I will say though that to this product is a really great quality for what I had intended. I really wish I had been able to use it more, but will put it to use in the future somehow for sure.
Great for indoors
Perfect for my little 1 lb puppy. Room for food, water, bed, play area and potty pad.

As other reviews have pointed out, the product is not what is adverstised. It is nowhere close to a pretty gold color. Its a molted fake gold that looks like it had been sitting in the rain. I would recommend the pen in the typical black color - I worry about my puppy licking this non-coated and molted metal. I Will probably purchase another pen, this gets the job done in the meantime. Puppy parents, stop thinking about it and get a pen (just not this one)
