Cheap. Made of plastic. Made in China.

Freestanding and easy to adjust

Easy to put together and very versatile for use in different locations. Currently using it at the bottom of a staircase to prevent the dogs from going upstairs

Finally a gate wide enough and attractive enough

Our office joins the guest bedroom by a double door opening. There is no door, but we've put up heavy curtains for privacy. Of course, the curtains did not stop

Our office joins the guest bedroom by a double door opening. There is no door, but we've put up heavy curtains for privacy. Of course, the curtains did not stop a dog or three visiting. This gate is perfect and tall enough that none of the dogs have even considered jumping over it.

Missing parts

The manufacturer has serious quality control issues. I bought this model from Chewy & the screws to attach the feet were missing. I had to go to the NorthStaes website

The manufacturer has serious quality control issues. I bought this model from Chewy & the screws to attach the feet were missing. I had to go to the NorthStaes website to buy "replacement parts". Then I stupidly decided to buy a different model 05402 directly from NorthStates and the hinge locks were missing. Skip this product folks, different parts missing both times.
