I have 1 year old cat. Need gate high enough and with openings small enough so cat won't jump over it or crawl through grate or rods. Want to leave a solid door to bedroom open where cat is with gate in place so she can see me in hallway. How does this 32" high gate work for cats?

This gate measures 32 inches high. It will work for some cats however, some cats are able to jump quite high, so it would depend on the ability and determination of the cat.

Could I stack two of these gates vertically if my cat is able to jump over the first gate?

This gate is not currently designed to be stacked.

We do not recommend using the Extra-Wide Wire Mesh Gate outdoors. Exposure to the elements such as sun, wind, rain, etc. can cause damage to the gate.

I want to secure my 5 year old cat upstairs and my dogs downstairs. Is this a gate I could put at the top of my stairs? Is there a walk through feature!

This gate is not recommended to be secured at the top of a staircase and is suitable for between rooms or hallways. This gate does not offer a walk through opening.

Finally found gates tall sturdy enough but...

Make an annoying rattle noise because of the gate material so not as quiet as the old school plastic gates but it works well

Very easy to install

Our cat is an inside cat. Sometimes outdoor cats come to visit and our cat lunges at the screen door, which then goes off track. This gate is a perfect fit inside

Our cat is an inside cat. Sometimes outdoor cats come to visit and our cat lunges at the screen door, which then goes off track. This gate is a perfect fit inside our French door. Our cat can sit as close as he wants to the screen but can’t get to it.

Doesn't work

I purchased this cause my neighbor showed me her's and I thought it would be perfect. WRONG! The "pressure mount", doesn't hold and there is zero ways to get it

I purchased this cause my neighbor showed me her's and I thought it would be perfect. WRONG! The "pressure mount", doesn't hold and there is zero ways to get it locked in place so that it is sturdy. Will be returning and hopefully I will be able to get one that will hold in place.

A bit hard to use, but works

It works, but very hard to get started. The clamp is so tight I couldn't release it myself. With effort, my husband was able to do it.

Great for wide areas.

This is great for wide kitchen opening almost 50” and didn’t want to install a hardware gate. The latch mechanism is tricky and jams sometimes but overall affordable
