My very senior hound dog (15yrs) won't eat anything without fish. Her first try of this food was pure devourment!!! Very happy since Natural Balance is known as a top quality, wholesome brand- no corn, soy, by products or just plain junk. Real meat with ingredients we know and love for the furkids. I do have to dock a star due to the front labeling only indicating salmon, however, the ingredient list on back shows chicken as well. This would be better labeled as Chicken & Salmon for immediate up front transparency. I still recommend this food and absolutely will buy it to keep my senior happy. The second time preparing this her eyes were so huge in excitement while jumping on her front feet- she gives it 2 paws up for taste and enjoyment!! Picky eater approved woohoo!!

Charley gobbled this food up right away, as opposed to when she's given kibble, which she doesn't eat all at once. It looks more like human food than other canned pet foods, but the Salmon variety still has that dog-food smell. I would buy this if Charley should become a picky eater and her health were an issue. I'll use it as an occasional treat meal for now though, as it would be too expensive for my budget to feed it to her exclusively.

I took a while to write this review because I was just not sure at first! My boy loves the food, but has a delicate stomach and is on a strict diet. I was looking for a nice healthy topper and this seemed to fit the bill. However, it took him a minute to get used to. It's good quality and healthy ingredients. I give the 4 stars as I wish it were more affordable so I could use it as more than a topper.

This canned, wet food is absolutely perfect for frozen lick mats. Previously I would soak my dog's regular kibble in water and then spread that onto lick mats, but using canned food is so much easier! It also seems to freeze better, and my dog absolutely loves the pieces of real vegetables in this recipe. Great ingredients and we've had no stomach issues with our current puppy who has a sensitive tummy. Will definitely purchase again in the future as a supplement to kibble!

Absolute hit in our house. Ginny is a picky eater. As soon as I opened the can you could see the actual vegetables. The actual food smelled just like human food

It did not smell anything like dog food at all. I feed my girl half a can with her dry in the morning and the other half with dry at night and she loved it. Definitely will be purchasing again.

She takes it great, gobbling it down quickly. No issues on her tummy by keeping it down and normal stools. She bugs us about it where dry food she doesn't. Great

I use this food as a topper/supplement. My dog is elderly with a sensitive stomach but he enjoys it. The can is the perfect size for a full meal, I use a can cover given it’s a supplement. Texture changes make meal times more interesting. Would be a great food for a “puzzle” feeder.
