This recipe has a phosphorus content of 1.42% on a dry matter basis. This food is manufactured in the USA. The manufacturer will source its high-quality ingredients within the United States depending on availability. However, certain ingredients will need to be outsourced (i,e: Lamb, Venison, Duck, Rabbit, Vitamin Packs, etc.) to ensure top quality and freshness while meeting a reasonable price point for pet parents.

Inconsistent

I started buying this for my 3 cats because one of them has a food allergy. The consistency is inconsistent. The first purchase was moist and all 3 of my cats loved it. The second purchase had a different texture - lacking moisture and was thick. My one non-picky cat is the only one who will touch it. I’ve even had to start mixing something else with it to try to moisten it up. We will likely still purchase this because there are so few wet cat foods that are salmon based/limited ingredient but I’m not sure I could recommend it because of how inconsistent the texture is.

My kitty’s food

Faith, my cat has eating this food for years. She absolutely loves it and never gets bored of it! According to my cat, it’s the cat’s meow!

Highly Inconsistent

I've been buying this food since April, and this last batch is once again different. It went from being a moist pate when i first purchased the product, to an oddly gelatinous mousse, to a stodgy, dry, unappealing goo. Of course, my cat ate the first two kinds, but isn't too keen on this new one and I have a whole case left.

NEW FORMULA Better than before

We tried this option to relieve food allergies and digestive upset over some prescription options available to pick from. The previous formula, which is thicker and pastier, wasn't a hit for the two who needed to be on limited ingredient diets. After receiving a batch of the product that matches the label shown here (new formulation from Natural Balance) we discovered the new formula smelled better, has more moisture, and our felines loved eating it. Their energy went up, and best part, the digestive disruption stopped. Deciding it is a must for our household, we'll go wherever we need to in order to ensure we can keep sourcing it, reliably. Highly recommend this all new version of Natural Balance's Limited Ingredient Salmon and Green Pea Recipe if your favorite at-home-jungle-tigers are in need of a Limited Ingredient Diet due to food allergies, IBS, or other digestive health concerns. For us, this one food change means a big boost to their overall health, happiness ; and playful zoomies; something we take quite seriously.

My cats go crazy!!!

They all LOVE this food!! They go nuts when they see the can. I have used others of this brand but this salmon makes them just crazy!

Inconsistent Quality

The quality of this food's texture is very inconsistent. Sometimes I get cans that look like the picture, and the texture is soft and moist and my cat eats them up very happily. Other times (more than 50% of the time), the cans that come have a different version of the packaging for the same product, and in these cans the food is almost always dry and sticky, even a bit gluey; my cat does not eat the food quickly at all, she often leaves a lot in the bowl. Adding water to soften it up does not entice her either. She's not a super picky eater, it seems like the texture is just unpleasant for her.

Changed formula

We have been feeding Salmon and Green pea canned food to our two cats for several years. We just received 2 cases of food and the appearance and consistency of the food is completely different (and it's not an improvement) from what we've received in the past. This stuff is not good. Our cats do not seem to care for this new, soft jello like excuse for cat food. We now have 2 cases of this junk that our cats don't like and now have to find a new brand of canned food for them! I hope you haven't changed the formula for the dry version of this food as we feed that to our cats as well and they really like it. Why was this major change made to the recipe? This is not just some "slight" adjustment. Only gave 2 stars because of great quality of previous recipe. Why wouldn't you alert your customers that you've completely changed your product?! Not good!

much better now

My vet recommended a limited ingredient canned food and since my cat liked the regular Natural Balance food, we switched over to their limited ingredient option. He was definitely not a fan but would nibble at it and we kept trying, figuring he’d get used to it. I noticed the consistency of the food in our most recent shipment was completely different - much softer and less messy. Our cat has gobbled up every last bit each time we put it down! I looked online and there was a recipe update - this one seems to be much tastier!
