This balm is specifically formulated for paw pads. The Natural Dog Company Snout Soother would be a better option.

Does this product protect bare paws from hot pavement? In other words, can this replace dog shoes?

This product can protect paws from harsh temperatures. However, in the case of extreme heat, it would not replace dog shoes.

Can this be used on cats?

This balm is not suitable for cats. For cats, it is recommended to use the Wrinkle Balm instead.

Works great

We put this on just before he goes out so he doesn't lick it off. I worry about the road salts and such making its way onto our property where my pup plays. Hard

We put this on just before he goes out so he doesn't lick it off. I worry about the road salts and such making its way onto our property where my pup plays. Hard snow makes his pads sore too, so I am hoping this helps with that this winter. Northeastern region of the US. Snow!!

Excellent balm

Smells nice, easy to apply and my dog allows me to put it on. Only downside is that it runs out quickly on a 150 lbs dog.
