My cats are switching to this nicely and I love the lavender scent
We had to buy something while waiting for our favorite litter Sustainably Yours to arrive so regrettably I bought the Natural Paw Tofu Litter it's awful it made our entire apt smell like urine and not just a little either it smelled like 10 bulls urinated everywhere and we have a small one year old female cat
I really like this litter brand. Not all tofu litters are the same, and this brand is definitely more effective at masking odor and minimizing dust and tracking. I also really prefer the activated charcoal “scent”. The original is ok too, both are best if you’re going for no scent.
So, the "charcoal" smell on this thing is not great especially when my cat pees on it. It really does amplify the pee smell - and he doesn't really have a strong pee smell (he's neutered). I have 3 cats (my 4th passed away) but only one uses the litter box I use this in and I keep the box in my bedroom bc he has some litter box issues. The pros are: one bag of this has last me a 1+ month with only one cat using it, it clumps well, hardly any dust, no tracking, good for the environment and my cat. The cons are: the bag is so small, the smell of the charcoal doesn't help mask the smell that is coming out of my cat. If they had an unscented version, I would try that. I don't hate this product but I don't love it entirely either. It's good, not great. And I'm glad that my cat took to it well and his litter box issue became less of a traumatic experience for him since switching him to this from pine pellets. I will keep this in my "favorites" and buy it from time to time.
Not exactly what I was expecting, it clumps to much. Thanks again
So far I love this litter. I have four (used to be six) cats and was using a corn litter that tracked and was very dusty. This litter is neither. I read some reviews that complained of odor, I don’t notice any odor but am home all day so am cleaning cat boxes every time I see they are used. I have five cat boxes so need a litter that is unscented, flushable, dust free and as natural a product as possible, clay is a big no-no. So far this litter is doing the job.
this litter was an absolute disaster. first of all the scent smells cheap synthetic fragrance, nothing like real lavender. but i filled my cat's freshly emptied litterbox with it anyway, hoping it'd be worth the headache. but within 36 hours i had to dump it all out. the clumps broke apart when i tried to scoop them, so soiled/wet pellets and crumbles were mixed throughout and it just got worse each time my cat used the litterbox. she has kidney disease so she urinates a lot and i clean the litterbox multiple times per day. but i have never had this crumbling issue with any other tofu cat litter. for example chewy's frisco brand tofu litter which we normally use: the clumps are solid and generally stay together when scooping them out; even when they do break apart they're still in clumps so i can remove them easily and the litterbox doesn't get contaminated with countless soiled pellets. this natural paw lavender stuff doesn't even come close to comparing, it was just a huge fail. for the price i definitely expected better. lesson learned, we will stick with frisco.
I bought the charcoal to try to replace the green tea TofuKitty litter I used for the past several years but just went out of business. Unfortunately this brand not only did NOT mask the smell of urine but seemed to amplify it. Everyday I went to scoop out the litter box my eyes would water with the strength of the ammonia smell and my whole house stunk of litter-did not last a month and had to use two bags because the amount you get is only enough to fill to about an inch of a standard size litter box - making it twice as expensive to use. The charcoal pellets are also much smaller and compact than the Unscented and Milk version of this brand.
I really like the tofu litter! My cat is not picky about litter sand but I am lol. My cat bring litter sand everywhere and this one is most less messy one I’ve found so far. Only thing I rated -1 star is the bag is smaller than I thought and doesn’t look like last one month for one cat as it’s already not enough in there from the beginning.
Tired of pick-up dust made by my cat !!! I found Natural Paw Cat Litter and has changed my life and of my little furry. This litter is flushable, environmentally friendly, reduces solid volume waste and odor control is the best. the features give me a solution for my cats.
