What is this clay ingredient and is it safe?

Montmorillonite clay is used in some natural pet foods as a natural anti-caking agent. It allows high-quality pet foods to remain free of man-made and chemical agents for this purpose. In addition, it is a natural source of minerals so it may bring with it added health benefits to pets. Since montmorillonite clay comes from the earth, some customers have asked about contamination by dioxin. Nature’s Logic purchases its clay from a supplier whose product has been tested and shown to contain no dioxin.

Let's start putting the ingredients somewhere LESS HIDDEN

My pet loves it HOWEVER he's allurgic to most everything including white fish oil, potato starch, etc, etc, etc. Which, when you read about the product is not spelled

We Love This Food!

I tried for a year making homemade food for my boy, but the confusion and uncertainty from all the contradicting advice I read while researching recipes finally

I tried for a year making homemade food for my boy, but the confusion and uncertainty from all the contradicting advice I read while researching recipes finally put me off homemade. Plus, for an 80 lb dog, it was really time intensive. So, when I decided to go back to premade I did a lot of comparison shopping before settling on Nature's logic. I like this brand because the ingredients are almost exactly what you find in homemade recipes, including eggshell calcium which is best for their kidneys. I also really appreciate the more novel proteins like venison, rabbit, pork, sardine, and duck and salmon (I alternate flavors daily). I believe my dog is allergic to either beef or chicken, but since avoiding those and using Nature's Logic his issues have disappeared. He's also producing the firmest stools he's ever had! Finally, he loves all the flavors and much more enthusiastically than he liked the homemade food I made him. I'm happy with the price for the quality, too.
