I conduct thorough investigations into any food I buy for Yogi. I was excited to find a dry kibble that listed meat as its first ingredient. I really had hoped that this was it. Sadly, I was again disappointed. Yogi refuses to eat it unless I put canned or cooked chicken in it. I assume its because of the chemical order which is quite strong. So, the hunt continues for a decent kibble. Cannot in good conscience recommend this kibble.

labeling issue

My dog seems to like this product but I am concerned because it advertises as Freeze-Dried but also states on the package that it is kibble. It can't be both

Please clarify or have the supplier clarify. I don't think I want to purchase this product again if it indeed is kibble- over processed dog food. Thank you

First, I didn't read this thoroughly enough, I thought it was a really good deal on freeze dried food! but it only has scarce freeze dried chicken mixed with plenty

First, I didn't read this thoroughly enough, I thought it was a really good deal on freeze dried food! but it only has scarce freeze dried chicken mixed with plenty of rock hard kibble. Lots of other kibble are way better!! My dogs don't even like the taste of the chicken or the kibble I broke with a hammer for them. Boo Hiss here.

I like the fact that the crude fat is low, so if you're weight conscious for your dog or your dog has problems with weight, this is good, my dog has intermittent

I like the fact that the crude fat is low, so if you're weight conscious for your dog or your dog has problems with weight, this is good, my dog has intermittent pancreatitis, and this food works well, she stopped pooping she doesn't vomit. She doesn't vomit. We use a topper on it, but it's small enough for her to chew it because small dogs tend to lose their teeth. And well it's a mix of hard and soft freeze-dried food. It's a good combo and it for a dog like mine. It is very substantial and it's something that she enjoys eating it and the price is very affordable and it has all the nutrition that she needs

This is the first dog food my Border Collie would eat. She is so finicky I would have to cook her chicken and eggs and rice, etc because she would not eat dog food,

This is the first dog food my Border Collie would eat. She is so finicky I would have to cook her chicken and eggs and rice, etc because she would not eat dog food, but she loves this food and eats every bite. When I brought it in the house she sniffed the bag like there were steaks in the bag and I had to put it on top of the kitchen counter. Thank you Nature’s Recipe for making my life easier!

easy to feed

For a dry food, not bad. I use it with raw sometimes. Dogs eat it with no issues. Too soon to rate results and I don't feed this as a meal in itself.

Blended not so well

Luna & Roxie bot developed a distaste for this dog food. After 2 months in cupboard the bag became full of little black bugs. This one is now off our buy list.

My Golden loves the crunchy chicken bites. One bag we received had most of the freeze dried chicken at the top with little at the bottom of the bag. I wish it were more evenly distributed throughout the entire bag. I appreciate the price, so I can provide some freeze dried food to my Golden. We're doing the best we can to extend his years.
