About NaturVet Vitamins and Supplements

Joint Care for All Life Stages

Give your pet the right joint care at every stage of their lives with NaturVet joint care supplements. Level 1 Maintenance Care provides proactive joint support for young pets before issues arise. Level 2 Moderate Care helps adult pets meet joint challenges, while Level 3 Advanced Joint Care helps senior and joint-compromised dogs get the extra support they need. There’s even a Hemp Joint Topical Spray for relief.

Level 1 Maintenance Joint Care

The Level 1 Glucosamine DS formula uses glucosamine and chondroitin to help maintain healthy cartilage and joint function. Added antioxidants help prevent cellular damage by protecting against harmful free radicals. Give this formula as a preventative and help set your best friend up for a lifetime of healthy activity.

Level 2 Moderate Joint Care

Level 2 Glucosamine DS Plus formulas with or without hemp seed incorporate glucosamine, chondroitin and MSM to support connective tissue and cartilage and help maintain good joint lubrication and movement in adult pets. Added antioxidants help prevent cellular damage by protecting against harmful free radicals. Recommended for adult pets, including large breeds and overweight pets.

Advanced Joint Care

ArthriSoothe-GOLD is great for seniors and those recovering from joint injuries or surgery. It has glucosamine, chondroitin, MSM, green lipped mussel, boswellia and yucca for joint, cartilage and connective tissue support. The antioxidants help curb free radical damage, too. Try Hemp Advanced Joint Health with collagen for added support or non-GMO Senior Advanced Joint Health for older pets.

Aches and Discomfort

Help alleviate joint pain and stiffness with these targeted formulas. The Aches & Discomfort supplement uses glucosamine, yucca, white willow bark, boswellia and L-tryptophan to provide relief from within, while the Hemp Joint Topical Spray uses hemp seed, ginger, peppermint, cinnamon and lavender to soothe, cool and relax on contact. Use separately or together for total relief.

Questions & Answers

8 Customer Questions

can I give this level 3 to my cat?

Answer by ChewyJul 14, 2018
This product is safe for use in dogs and cats over the age of 12 weeks.

Hi, I just bought NuturaVet Level 2 last week from Chewy. Didn’t know level 3 had a different name. My question. If I purchased this as well could I still use Level two and add Level 3 ArthriSoothe Gold as well. Staying within recommended dosage just combining the two?

Answer by ChewyMar 23, 2018
It is not recommended to combine the two. For best results, following the feeding instructions is suggested.

When should I start seeing results?

Answer by ChewyJun 11, 2021
The efficacy timeline of the supplement will depend on how severe the issue is. The dog typically will see some relief after 3 days but may take longer if the condition is severe.

If I were to chop this tablet into half or quarters, or grind it down into a powder for my small cat, would that negate the "Time Release" properties indicated on the bottle? Is there a coating on this tablet that provides the time release function or is it achieved by other means?

Answer by ChewyMay 20, 2021
The tablets are not enteric coated. The individual active components of the tablet are coated with a proprietary blend of specialized vegetable oils that extend the dissolution time. Breaking the tablet does not affect the efficacy of the Time Release properties of the product. This enables the product to be fed like a treat.

I have a 140 lb GSD/Lab mix with prior CCL surgeries and dysplasia. He has developed arthritis and swollen hip joints even with other joint supplements. We took a chance and followed the “double” directions for the first few weeks. Within one week, his joint swelling reduced and he is getting up and down easier. Very happy with the results and we will continue for the long term!

Helps with Lyme Arthritis Symptoms

I don't write product reviews often, but I'm writing this in the hope that it might help other dog owners. My 8 year old chocolate lab (85lb, male), Charlie, was diagnosed with lyme disease after having symptoms of lameness and soreness in his hind legs. The road to his diagnosis is a long story... I had thought he had some kind of back or disc injury based on his symptoms, which came on very suddenly. They started very subtle: hesitating to go up or down steps, not jumping up on the bed, laying around, not coming into the kitchen when food was being made (things that are very out of character for a lab!!). He was simply not himself. Rapidly, his condition worsened. He could barely stand up or walk without collapsing. It was heartbreaking. After an ER visit, XRays, neurologist appointments...we found out it was lyme. He did not test positive on the rapid test or the more in depth quantitative test. They ended up taking a sample from his joint fluid (which they had to fully sedate him to get), and found the lyme there. They put him on doxycycline (antibiotic) for 1 month. His symptoms improved in 3-5 days, I was so relieved. Unfortunately, a few months later his symptoms came back, so they put him on the doxy again. He improved. This happened another time, and he went on the antibiotics again. I started to wonder how many more times I'd have to put him on these very strong antibiotics for several weeks at a time, and felt it was not working to solve the issue long term. He was also having gastro issues from the antibiotics (which I started giving him probiotics from this same company for). When his symptoms came back, I decided (after some research) to try some arthritis supplements. Long story short, this stuff miraculously got him back on his feet, just as effective as the doxy did. I now give him these every day and he has not had any issues since. About a year later, I've discussed this with his vet, who approved of this supplement and the ingredients for arthritic issues. He did say that if Charlie ever got those symptoms badly again, he would want him back on the antibiotics, which I understand. However, lyme never realy goes away, and he will suffer from joint pain and arthritis probably for the rest of his life from it. These supplements seem to really help and make a huge difference for him, so I will continue to administer them unless that is not the case anymore. I highly recommend these to anyone who's dog has a similar story, or symtoms, to Charlie.
