My Golden Retriever has officially entered his senior years, and lately his arthritis has really been giving him trouble, especially in his front right leg. He tends to limp quite a bit when he first gets up or after napping on the hardwood floors. I bought this brace hoping it could give him some extra support, and it really has made a noticeable difference. It helps keep the joint warm and steady, and he moves more comfortably with it on. He’s even started hopping back into the car on his own again, which I honestly didn’t expect. The sizing was spot-on and it stays in place, no sliding or twisting, which was something I worried about. The material feels durable but still gentle enough that it hasn’t caused any rubbing or irritation. If your older pup is having a tough time walking or getting up, this is definitely worth trying.

Finally found something that stays up on my Lab

If you have a Lab, you know how heavy they are when they flop down on the tile or hardwood. My guy developed a really nasty callus on his left elbow started cracking

If you have a Lab, you know how heavy they are when they flop down on the tile or hardwood. My guy developed a really nasty callus on his left elbow started cracking and bleeding. I tried everything to cushion it - wrapping it with vet tape, using shirts, you name it - but he either shock it off or licked it loose in five minutes. I bought this brace as a last resort, and honestly, I'm surprised how well it works. The biggest win is that is actually stays in place. Even when he gets the zoomies or is rolling down in the grass, the Velcro hold tight. He looked a little confused when I first put it on, but now he doesn't even notice it. The padding is thick enough that he can sleep comfortable on the hard wood without hurting his elbow. The sore is finally scabbling over and healing since he can't get to it. Definitely recommend this if you're tired of messing with bandages that doesn't work.

The X-Small size fits his short legs perfectly, and the cross-body strap keeps it from sliding down. The padded material protects his elbow from hard floors and prevents him from licking the area. Within three weeks, the sore healed completely.

The Ease of Putting the Brace On

We were getting terribly sad and worried. Ollie is only 8 years old and his arthritis in his front leg was awful. I could feel his pain. As I too have arthritis

We were getting terribly sad and worried. Ollie is only 8 years old and his arthritis in his front leg was awful. I could feel his pain. As I too have arthritis. We had pretty much run out of options. He’s on medecine every day. We had had many conversations with our vet and were at wits end. I found this brace online and since we have gotten other products from Chewy and been happy with them I figured why not give it a try. We got the brace quickly and the instructions for putting it on were great, so I crossed my fingers and put it in. At first it seemed like it wasn’t working. I think because he was trying to get used to it. 3 hours later, we had a whole new dog!!!! Honestly, I still can’t believe how well it works for him. We have a totally new dog. He sleeps with it and keeps it on the whole day. We are the happiest people in the world. We got our dog back. We did order another one for a backup. We also took it up to our vet and showed it to him. He was impressed. Thank you.

Sturdy and Easy to Adjust

Our older Labrador was starting to have some issues with reddened/draining sores at her elbows. Despite having plenty of soft areas and dog beds to lie down on, she continued to use the hard tile area. I wanted to prevent further injury to her elbows and allow them to heal. I chose the NeoAlly Elbow Protector based upon its construction, ability to secure it at the elbows, and on the reviews. I ordered it based upon the measurement scale provided and the large size fits perfectly. It was easy to put on and remove, and our dog tolerates it very well. She moves about well with it and her elbow sores are healing up nicely. Our dog has been wearing the NeoAlly Elbow Protector for a couple of weeks and I'm happy with the performance. The only downside is that it certainly is a 'hair collector', but with Labradors, there is always a lot of hair ;-)

Works well for my lab

Our lab developed an open pressure sore on her front right elbow. This fits her just right, is easy to put on, and she doesn’t seem to mind wearing it too much

Our lab developed an open pressure sore on her front right elbow. This fits her just right, is easy to put on, and she doesn’t seem to mind wearing it too much. It helps protect her elbow from the hard floors. We do also add some extra padding on the inside to make it more cushioned, and the padding also helps with the drainage from the wound, so we don’t have to wash the support so much. But this has worked really well for her. Definitely worth the purchase!

Star is 12years old and has arthritis especially front right . I bought this to try help her with her pain and lameness . Shes a lab retriever and weighs in 85 llb so bought the xl . The size around her shoulders is good but the actual leg size is to big even using smallest pull on Velcro . I’m trying to alter it to fit her as we speak , other than that I think this product will help any senior dog with these problems

Padded Protection for her Elbow

My shepherd still enjoys sleeping on our hardwood floors despite having 3 dog beds to choose from...did I mention they are also orthopedic dog beds? So she has developed a hygroma on her elbow and since she continues to put pressure on it, the hygroma has continued to grow. The vet suggested a padded brace (since removal is not an option) & Chewy delivered! This was exactly what I was looking for, it has a lovely set of padding for her elbow & it was very easy to put it on her. It covers the entire elbow and lower forearm while also allowing the area to breathe. I would definitely recommend & wish I had known about it sooner.

How well it stays where it is supposed to.

Rhaal is a large yellow lab. His elbow became infected, he went through a couple of procedures to have it drained. We were going through a lot of bandages and lots of several different tapes and wraps. Our vet told us about this, after reading the information we decided to buy it. We are so glad that we did. It helps to hold the bandage up where it needs to be, it gives him a lot of padding so we don't need to use as much bandage. It provides a lot of protection for him. It seems to be very comfortable for him. It has some flexibility and stretch. we check when ever he is wearing it for rubbing or friction in other areas and there are none. It is so easy to put on as well. Both his elbows have gone through a lot with his age of 13+ years. As soon as he heals, we will be purchasing the support brace that is for both legs. It will also fit our great Pyrenees should he need one in the future.
