Beware Nerf Dog balls!
Beware of these Nerf Dog balls! I had been using these ball for over a year with my golden retriever and brittany spaniel. One of these balls unexpectedly got lodged in the back of my golden retrievers throat, requiring emergency vet care. He nearly choked to death before the ball was removed. Luckily the holes on each end of the ball allowed him to breathe until the vet got the ball removed.
My dogs favorite toy of all time!
We all have that one toy (or in this case two) that our dogs love for some odd reason. This is it for my dog. He has had these since he was a puppy and as he got older I was scared he may swallow or not like them since they’re small but these are his “old reliable” and if he ever lost them he would be devastated lol they last forever!!

My dog has had these balls for 30 mins and they are already breaking
Sent my dog to the ER
My dog somehow got her tongue stuck inside this dog toy(it’s made with a hole in it). I had to take her to the emergency vet , they had to sedate her and intubate her to cut the ball off her tongue. We are 4 days out and she is still having trouble eating and drinking due to the swelling and bruising of her tongue . The vet said thankfully we are go home when this happened otherwise her tongue would have probably died and needed amputation.

Good colors for dogs!
I have a couple different models of these Nerf balls. I like that they come in sets of blue and yellow, which are colors that dogs can see! (Dogs are red-green color blind, so that bright red ball appears grey to your canine). These balls also stand out nicely to the human eye. One of my sets is a squeaky model, which is difficult to squeeze in a way that makes it squeak. These are generally tough enough for my dog who is not a hard core chewer, although he does defuzz and split open a regular tennis ball.
Easily destroyed
Being the "tuff" version I hoped this ball would last. We just started using them for fetch and the holes in the sides prove to be a gateway for the dogs to chew them into pieces!

SUPER great ball
My dog is an unusual aggressive chewer, and the ridges and holes meant there was a lot for him to grab on to and chew. HOWEVER, it lasted way longer than most balls for us.
Does NOT fit description of tough
My dog took one good chew and split ball in half and started eating eat. Don’t purchase as it is a waste of money!
