Both of my cats go crazy for this. I give it to them whole as a crunchy treat and they are able to eat them. It is a bit messy so we feed these to them outside. The mussels crumble into pieces as they bite through and leave crumbs on the floor, but they lick up all the pieces. One time, the greedier cat even stole the other's mussel as she was too slow. This is approx. 8 kcal per piece, not exactly low calorie, so be careful when feeding it to multiple cats if one of them is extra greedy.
I know this company has a great reputation. They come highly recommended by Dr. Judy Morgan whom I have been following for years. Unfortunately, out of 4 cats not ONE would eat them. I am not sure why, I was very surprised. I would not give it a lower rating because I believe if your pet will eat them, there are great nutritional benefits. However, my cats are not that picky...and yet no go. Not sure why but now I have a whole bag of uneaten treats.
