My pets do not like them. The tablets are hard as a bone. Used to give Nexgard Flea and Tick and Heart Guard as treats, now when I give then Nexgard Plus, I have to wait patiently until they finally put it in their mouths and then make sure they eat it. Why are they so hard and not chewy?

Our two Golden Retrievers LOVED Heartgard but we live in the woods and even though the dogs stay inside our yardfence when outside, ticks were a problem. We switched to Nexgard and basically have to turn it into a powder that we mix with wet food to get them to take the medicine but our tick problem disappeared! I removed one star for this as it is much more complicated than tossing a Heartgard "treat" to them. I would still highly recommend if you need heartworm, flea, and tick prevention with one pill.

A SOY-BASED product! As with other reviewers, our guy says it's yucky and we have to chop it very finely and hide it in cream cheese to get him to eat it, but it works GREAT and MOST IMPORTANTLY, it has no meat in it, so it doesn't trigger his food allergies!

I can’t believe how well this works. We’ve been using this on our dog for months. Our yard is unfortunately full of ticks and we spend a lot of time hiking. Anytime a tick hitches a ride and starts to bite, they come right off as they die. We haven’t had experience with fleas, or maybe that’s because of the meds

The 'plus' version is off-putting in taste to 2 of my 3 dogs; they loved the taste of regular nexgard and regular heartgard for years, but this 'plus' version I have to coat in 'pill pocket' etc., to get them to eat and still have to coax/encourage etc., to be sure they consume it all. Thinking about going back to regular versions of nexgard and heartgard; we don't have ticks so this add-on is not worth it for us. Will have to compare ingredients but wish they would just improve the taste/palatability!! Anyone else notice a change in this with 'plus?'

There is another brand that our dog really liked and would eat like a treat. Not this one. I have to smother it in cheeze whiz to get it in his mouth and clamp his jaw down or he will still spit it out. And it doesn't break so you can't get it down in smaller chunks.

I was billed once for meds I a few days later received, but why was I billed again after that for meds I never ordered & never received? This forced me to file a fraud claim at my bank, over Thanksgiving week, my card being canceled & being without for 4 or 5 days the ability to live a normal life.

They work well. I wish we didn't need to be vet approved before we can buy these. They are expensive enough without adding a vet visit or consultation added to the price. I don't know what the last owners gave her that she gobbled up but i need to crush these into her food. but they work and that's that. I also wish there would be some sort of incentive to leave a review.
