I purchased this because I like this brand of pet food. The cat food is excellent and my dogs thrive on the other options. However, my large breed puppy will not

I purchased this because I like this brand of pet food. The cat food is excellent and my dogs thrive on the other options. However, my large breed puppy will not be getting this again until they remove all the legumes which listed are peas and pea protein. Everyone knows by now that all potatoes and legumes should be removed from large breed puppy and dog food. The FDA has issued an advisory on this subject. Why not use brown rice as a filler? Is another, safer source of protein not available? It's a shame because I love this company and buy many products but this time I have to switch to the competitor who does not use these specific ingredients. We only have one chance to grow our puppy and we can't go back later and fix it. Having lost one already to DCM makes me a committed label reader. We can't control all factors but peas are one thing we can eliminate from the diet.

Our dog is mixed with 4 big breeds (Retriever/Lab/Poodle/Great Pyrenees) and when he was about 9-10 months old, he needed to pick up some weight due to being so active and our food at the time wasn't enough to really fill him up but we came across this brand and saw this was meant for puppies of XL breeds so we tried it and it worked fantastically in less than a month! Love this brand!

Not for my Rotty

We had hoped our dog would enjoy Next Level, but unfortunately he experienced explosive diarrhea and vomiting. Our vet recommended Hills Science Diet Large Breed

We had hoped our dog would enjoy Next Level, but unfortunately he experienced explosive diarrhea and vomiting. Our vet recommended Hills Science Diet Large Breed Puppy, Dry Food. What a difference! Within a few days, the diarrhea stopped and his movements were firm.

Very palatable food with flexible use!

As soon as this food came in the house my dog was sniffing the box and my cat actually started trying to chew through the bag. It was very palatable to the dog,

As soon as this food came in the house my dog was sniffing the box and my cat actually started trying to chew through the bag. It was very palatable to the dog, I put some in his bowl to begin mixing it with his old food and before I could add the old food in, he was already eating it without hesitation. This food is unique because it can be used as a puppy food up to 2 years. It is formulated for larger/giant breeds (80+), and can also be used for pregnant and nursing dogs which is convenient as you only have to buy one food for both mother and puppies. The size of the food was such that either a larger puppy or an adult dog would have no trouble eating. The instructions on the bag are easy to understand as far as the feeding instructions go!

I have two German Shepherds who are extremely picky! One has a chicken allergy and so she could not try this kibble, but I started mixing this in my male dog’s current kibble and he transitioned to this one with no noticeable issues. I love that this kibble is high in protein and gluten free. It offers great nutrition to a big dog who can tolerate chicken, like my 90+ lb boy!
