With the trusted name of Purina, this will be a good choice of canned food for your puppy. The can is clearly marked "Puppy" and states this means "Under One Year." Beneath these statements it says Chicken Entree. These are helpful for quickly identifying the food you want to buy. Recommended feeding amounts are described in a chart on the can to help to determine how much to feed your dog at what age - the breed isn't important as they use Weight at Maturity (lbs) as a guide. The current age of the dog in months is divided out in months up to 1-2 Years. I found this last entry a bit confusing as the food is marked for a puppy under one year. However, in a call to the company I was told that you can continue to feed this to your dog at 1-2 years. I like that the can has extensive information on how to properly feed your dog. In your yearly vet check-up, your vet can confirm if you are feeding the correct amount based on your dog's optimum weight. My pup ate this food mixed with dry kibble (which is recommended on the can), and he ate it at top speed. However, I would qualify that he does eat all of his food at top speed! He does seem to like it very much and clearly is eager for meal time. I appreciate the lack of a strong smell. Yes, dogs like strong smells, but I prefer it to be neutral when I open a can. My case has 6 cans of chicken and 6 cans of turkey.
Pro Plan puppy grain free classic canned is great! It has no overpowering smell and mixes easily into dry food, even after refrigeration. My dogs have no preference over the Turkey or Chicken Entrees. My Chihuahua is a very, very picky senior, we have to entice her to eat. Her vet said try to get her to eat any safe food when she refuses to eat. She eats this and licks the bowl! We recently adopted a mix breed pup, he did not want to eat his dry food. We added the Pro Plan puppy and he eats every single bit!
My two puppies were very interested the moment I popped the top on the Pro Plan Classic, Under One Year Puppy, Turkey Entrée. Even my VERY finicky cat's ear perked up at the aroma! The boys scarfed it up in a matter of minutes & then took long fat-belly naps. All-in-all, they loved it.
I tried Purina Pro Plan can food with my two Lab/Golden X, one is a senior at 11 years old and the other a 9 month old puppy. Both ate it like candy! They are used to only getting dry dog food, and I decided to give them a treat and mix it in with their dry food. They loved it! And with Chewy delivering it to my door, why wouldn't I treat my furry friends!
Purina ProPlan classic for Puppies under one year Turkey Entree. I have two Great Danes who are 7 months old and they absolutely loved this! I mixed it with dry dog food twice a day. They had no issues digestion it. They tried the Chicken Entree, one stopped eating it and the other ate it but had some digestive issues.
My Golden Retriever, Moose, loves this food! He is a very picky eater but he eats this as soon as I put it down for him. After reading the package I felt good about the ingredients and feeding it to him. The only issue we have had with this food is keeping the cats away from it….they love it as well!
Both my dogs can be pretty finicky eaters but not with this wet food. It took a long time to find a dry food that didn’t upset my dog’s tummy’s & Purina Pro Plan Sport worked. When they decided to become finicky I knew I had to continue with the line and this one did not disappoint! They ate it up and no upset stomach.
These cans of dog food are like dog crack!! My dogs absolutely love when they hear me open these cans. I love the ingredients; I love the market price of them, and my dogs go crazy for these cans of food. I use the wet food as a topper for their Purina kibble and their breakfast is gone within seconds.
When feeding a growing Great Dane puppy, I needed an affordable option on wet food to add to meals. It’s a hit for the little one and even the cat collects her taxes. The cans have no smell and provided extra hydration for my puppy. Another bonus is it’s shipped right to your door!
My puppy was so happy to get wet food. This is a great brand. I feed my older pup the dry food version as well. It’s great for sensitive stomachs. She ate it right up no problem.
