For Pregnant Or Nursing Dogs: Nulo FreeStyle™ Salmon & Peas Recipe Puppy Food provides extra nutrition needed by pregnant or nursing dogs. When pregnant, feed up to 50% more food according to body weight displayed in the 7 - 12 mos. column. For nursing dogs, allow her to eat at will. Please also consult with your veterinarian.
Every puppy is a little different, so the ideal feeding amount may vary with age, size and activity level. Please use the information below as a starting guideline only and adjust as required. Ask your veterinarian if you’re unsure. Always provide plenty of clean, fresh water and hugs.
When first introducing your pet to Nulo, we recommend slowly transitioning over the course of 5 to 7 days to reduce the risk of digestive upset that can occur with a rapid change in diet. We recommend portioning 25% of the new food on the first day mixed with 75% of the former food. Over the course of several days, gradually increase this ratio until you are feeding 100% of the new food. This will allow your pet's digestive system time to adjust to any new ingredients and will help to ensure a smooth transition. Mixing up proteins can be a great way to provide variety to your pet's diet. Once your pet has transitioned to the Nulo platform, rotating between recipes is generally seamless!

Simple Nutrition for Healthier Pets
Nulo Freestyle is a grain-free dog food with high crude protein levels to feed your dog's inner athlete. Not only are they tasty for your pup, but they're rich in muscle-repairing amino acids that can only come from real meat sources.

Lasting, Slow-Burning Energy
In all of their formulas, Nulo uses low glycemic ingredients and alternative carb sources for slow-burning energy. Chickpeas, lentils and sweet potatoes help regulate blood sugar levels to keep your four-legged workout partner full of vitality. With a reduced risk of obesity and early diabetes, Nulo is a good choice for both active dogs and the those that camp out at the food dish for an all-day buffet.
No Shortcuts or Fillers
From the method of preparation to carefully selected ingredients, Nulo never cuts corners in their recipes. They've included fresh meat, free-roam poultry and wild-caught fish paired with wholesome apples, blueberries, carrots, sweet potatoes or lentils. Their formulas are high in animal protein and low in carbs without empty fillers like potatoes, tapioca, gluten, corn, wheat or soy. And they never use poultry or meat by-products; GMOs; or artificial colors, preservatives or flavoring.

Powered by Probiotics
Nulo ensures that your dog will get the full benefits of all the valuable nutrients with guaranteed levels of the patented BC30 probiotic. It supplies live beneficial bacteria that facilitate digestion, support the immune system, reduce gas, increase nutrient absorption and improve stool quality. This powerful probiotic also prevents the growth of yeast that can cause skin problems and ear infections.

Amazing quality!
By Erin262 on Jan 24, 2021
Thank you for making a puppy food that doesn’t contain any chicken protein!! At 12 weeks old we discovered my pitbull puppy had a chicken protein allergy and it was very hard to find a puppy food that didn’t contain chicken. Her stools are finally back to normal thanks to this food. She is gaining healthy weight and thriving. With her last food she was shedding like crazy and now it’s very minimal. She looks healthy and people comment all the time and ask what I’m feeding her. As a bonus, my once picky eater is finally food motivated, she loves it! I finally have her on a food I trust.

New foods for pups
By Heagstermom on Feb 9, 2020
My 2 yr old Gaza sensitive stomach and is doing very well on the Nulo fish limited ingredients formula. My 9 month old puppy loves the salmon and pea puppy formula. I think I’ve finally found the best dog food for both of them.

GREAT dog food!
By Waylon on Oct 21, 2019
I have done my due diligence and research to make sure I'm feeding my dog the best food for his breed and age, and at a reasonable cost! Waylon is a 9 month old labrador, and he LOVES his Nulo Salmon food - he has been on it now for 6 months. It makes his coat so shiny and he is very healthy. I also have a good friend who works for Nulo and she has ensured me of the quality of the food. I trust her, for sure. Definitely highly recommend!!

Great dog food brand
By Quinn on Sep 23, 2019
I love this brand of dog food. Searching for a food for my puppy was getting so frustrating and I found these guys and tried it on whim. She gobbles it up way faster than the food I had her on before. I appreciate the variety of meal toppers that you can buy to spice it up so she's not just getting the same ol same ol every day. Great brand and great puppy food. I can't wait to switch my other dog over to them.

Yummy at first try
By Pupapproved on Apr 24, 2019
My new pup was not really eating the food she received from the breeder once home with me. I had ordered food to transition and switch her, but it didn’t really work with her tummy. She loved it, but it gave her very loose stools. I did more research and decided to try Nulo and it was a hit from the start. I could see the immediate difference in her stool and she loves meal times. So both pup and mommy are happy... we have a double winner!

Four legged picky eater
By QuesoMama on Mar 14, 2019
I got my puppy (wheaten terrier and poodle mix) when he was being fed bil-jac, obviously we didn’t like it so we made the switch to a premium dog food aka Nulo salmon. Our little guy loved bil-jac, not so much nulo. He’d empty the bowl of bil-jac but not the bowl of Nulo. The smell also convinces me that i wouldn’t eat it either. We decided to try it for another month and bought a 24lb bag. We’re at the end of that bag and he still hates it. He’ll eat it but he won’t finish it. He’ll eat it when he’s famished & starving but not when he’s bordering hungry. He can be a little stubborn too. He’ll eat the all the food if I put some toppers on it (egg yolk or cheese) but ugh it’s frustrating that I got my puppy (wheaten terrier and poodle mix) when he was being fed bil-jac, obviously we didn’t like it so we made the switch to a premium dog food aka Nulo salmon. puppy ate first day only
By karma on Mar 17, 2019
This was the 2nd brand of food we have tried now for puppy. The first was ~chicken and oatmeal blue buff~ so opted for something totally opposite to see if was an allergy by chance, but she ate first day after bein sick for on other food and wont even eat her prescription food her vet now prescribed her if I try adding some of this in now.(recommended doing after she became better to adapt to other foods)So can't even say what is it with this as she only ate one day. I'd definitely just make sure your dog likes fish though as this is very strong smelling seeing its salmon. I wish it would have worked for her! As it was cheaper for me than her Vet formula food. Ughhh!

Upset Tummy is Gone!
By EllsMom on Feb 14, 2019 Top 500 Contributor
Our English Bulldog puppy was on a special bulldog-formula dry kibble when we got him, so we kept feeding it to him. He had stomach issues on and off, but it got much worse about a month ago. We thought it was due to something he picked up from the ground so we did a round of anti-diarrhea medication, bought pro/pre-biotoic chews and even fed him bland food for a week. I finally just switched his food over to Nulo and within THREE FEEDINGS, every single issue he had went away. I'm amazed and honestly sorry I didn't switch sooner. He devours the food every time and has regular bowel movements only a mother could be proud of. I'll be sticking with Nulo from now on.
