I used to cook bland chicken breast every other week to mix into my dog’s food so he eats it (mind you, he eats human grade dehydrated food). I don’t like the fresh food bc I hate the hassle of freezing / defrosting + too expensive. So decided to give this shelf stable one a try. My dog loves it! Still only using it as a mixer because it’s expensive but honestly happy with how easy it is to store them

For those avoiding any less or legumes in dog food due to the controversy regarding legumes and DCM in dogs BEWARE pea fiber is within the first 10 ingredients. Which is a shame because it has other great ingredients and my dog loves it but for me it’s just not worth the risk and not for long term use. I will continue my search for alternatives
