I decided to try Prowess Bright Beginnings Chicken Recipe in Broth for my kitten, and it has quickly become a favorite in our house! The texture is soft and moist—perfect for tiny mouths—and the broth keeps it extra flavorful and hydrating. I love that it smells fresh, not overwhelming, and my kitten cleans the bowl every single time. Since introducing this food, I’ve noticed better energy, healthier stool, and a shinier coat. The 2.8-oz cans are the perfect single-serve size with no leftovers going to waste. I’ll definitely be adding more of this to our Chewy autoship. Highly recommend for growing kittens!

I bought these for my youngest cat, who is slightly out of kittenhood. Unfortunately, he had no interest in this food. He gave it a sniff and then went to another cat's bowl to share with them. I then tried to give it to my other four cats. Two of them half-heartedly ate a few bites of it before abandoning the bowl. A few days later, I tried again. I dumped the can into a bowl and left it out for all the cats to graze on. A few hours later, it was still there. Usually if I give my cats a communal graze bowl outside of normal feeding times, they go nuts. But that wasn't the case here. They simply didn't like it. I ended up donating the rest of the cans to an animal shelter. I'll give two stars because the food itself didn't look horribly unappetizing to me (sometimes cat food looks like it's already made its way through a digestive tract) and it smelled fine.

I have given this to our 5 month old Oriental kitten and he loves this canned meat. He is fed by himself but our 2 year old Siamese waits outside the door until it is opened so she can help him finish the meat. Not sure that the size of the bites would work with weaning babies but will try and see how they manage. As a breeder I am always looking for healthy meat that does not contain wheat, soy, or corn.

I mixed some into their Nulo Pate … These are 6 month old kittens, so able to eat food of this size. I tried mashing the bits up and still they late around it. I can’t say I’ve ever had a cat who liked chunky food. But we did give it a try!
