My beloved kitty is 16 years old now and has been struggling with getting up on furniture. We have noticed some improvement since she started using Cosequin 6 months ago as recommended by our vet, but we weren't entirely sure if we should be seeing more improvement, so we took her in for a second opinion. The other vet we saw did a new exam with x-rays and told us that if we were to stop using the Cosequin we would see a marked decline in her mobility due to her arthritis and that at this point it is not just something we need to do for improvement, but for maintenance of her joints. I do trust this because I know how much a senior (human) friend of mine has had help from a glucosamine/chondroitin supplement for her knees. I break one pill open and mix into a spoonful of wet cat food (for her we specifically use a pate) once a day. She is a very, very picky eater, but doesn't notice or mind the taste like other meds we have tried, like Dasuquin. Don't wait until your cat has problems. I wish I had started this treatment earlier. … more

  • Saved my cat!

Our poor cat lost a lot of muscle as a result of his diabetes. He was pretty much walking on the long part of his hind legs, and even dragging them up the stairs. It was pretty pathetic, and I was beginning to think if it got worse we might have to put him down. When I read about this supplement, I decided to try it. After about a month, he was walking a little better, but still not good. So we decided to give it to him twice a day (2 in the morning and 2 at night) and within about a week, he showed remarkable improvement! He may never walk again as well as he once did, but he is so much better. I never would have believed this would work this well! I am so glad we decided to try it!

  • Game Changer!

My 7 year old cat was born, with hip/cartilage issues. Surgery was not recommended, because cats typically place their weight, on their front legs. Recently, she showed signs, of discomfort, due to early arthritis, due to her skeletal shortcomings. My vet recommended this and just wow! In a few short weeks, my kitten has returned! I don't write reviews very often, but I wanted to give a big shout-out, for other moms and dads, whose pet children might be experiencing similar issues. I am beyond grateful. This product works!!

  • Best Joint Supplement, Best Company

My 2 aging cats love Cosequin. They jump and play like kittens since taking it. They seem to really like the taste too. So easy, just sprinkle onto wet food and slightly mix in. No chasing them down to try to give them a pill. My old man kitty was plagued with bladder infections for years. My vet recommended this and he has not had a bladder infection since. The additional playfulness from what it did for his joints was a surprise. So I gave it to his litter mate and wow, what a difference it made for her. She has been overweight. But now she is losing that pudge because she is moving, jumping and playing more. My orders with this company have always come on time and in perfect condition. • My cat grooms herself again!

    By on

I had given up on my poor 15 year old wanting to groom herself anymore. She has bone spurs in her back and is so stiff somedays she can only drag her back leg. After only 2 weeks she started cleaning herself! She has 4” Fur so needless to say before these she completely matted. But she wants to be fluffy again & lets me spray detangler on her! She’s still stiff at times but she can even jump off the couch again! These original ones are the best! At first I gave her 4 daily but now just 2 daily! She’s much happier now!

  • She is walking again

I have a feral cat that I have 6 months ago. She had been struck by cars and her back leg was damaged and inoperable. It was heartbreaking watching her walk and it was abvious she was in pain. I began her on cosequin months ago and there is a noticable difference. She even runs sometimes now. Much better than pain pills that do more harm than good. Natural!!!

  • I Love Cosequin!

    By on

I have 3 cats. One 14 year old and 2 young males. It has brought back the kitten in my 14 year old and my mancoon who is blind has actually help to allow him to actually see shadows now. The vet was very happy to see that. I am very thankful for helping to increase the health in all of our cats.

  • This really works well!

I have been using these for several months now and there is a noticeable improvement. I am VERY pleased! Also - these "sprinkle" into his food and he does not complain (he complains about everything)! So - if he's happy - and healthier - then I'm happy and will continue to purchase these!

I took my cat to the groomer because he had matted fur on his back. This was strange because he usually gets matting on his lower body (Norwegian Forest Cat problems!) The matting was difficult to groom and he seemed in pain when I attempted to comb them out. We ended up giving him a lion cut for the summer but the groomer asked me how old he was. Apparently 7 years old is considered a senior in cat years! The groomer said that he might be having some joint issues, making it difficult for him to reach his back to groom. She recommended a joint supplement and I researched a bunch of them and decided to try this one. I gave it to both of my cats even though the other is younger. It was like he was a kitten again! I put this on autoship because I tend to forget these kinds of things and it was cheaper that way. Great product! … more

  • Not sure, but...

I tried some glucosamine treats with my 16 yr old cat, but they didn't seem to do anything much, and after a while, the cat didn't eat them anymore. This product, however, seems to be helping. She walks less stiffly, and wants to be touched much more again. Can't be sure of the cause/effect thing, but for now I'm hopeful.
