My bully breed is 7 years old and healthy weight at 75 pounds. I did have to feed him these supplements everyday mixed with canned food because he didn’t like the flavor and wouldn’t take them alone or even mixed with cheese or pill pockets. I noticed he was resting more and a little less zealous on hikes and walks, along with occasional stiffness and slower going up stairs. I started him on this for what I thought was going to preventative but I noticed a huge change in his mobility and activity levels! I’ve been giving this to him for about 6 months now as directed. He has continued to improve and even putting on more lean muscle again because he’s so much more willing to be active and able to get more exercise. He’s body conditioning, strength and mobility have all improved like he is 3 years old again. It was a improvements I didn’t expect and I didn’t even know he needed!!! Early prevention is the best medicine. I would have started him sooner had I known. It did take some trial and error to be able to get him to take them because like other reviews said I did struggle with him not liking the flavor, but it’s worth figuring out a way to overcome those barriers. This product works, even the vet can confirm the improvements, and it’s worth committing it.
My dog has patellar luxation on his back leg and it got to a point that his leg would pop out about 3 times a day. It took about 3 weeks for him to start looking better. It’s been 6 months now and he hasn’t showed discomfort from his leg since.
Super picky pup sniffed another brand and walked away. I tried giving it to him again. He took it in his mouth to please me and then dropped it on the floor. Thank goodness he approves. His old joints really need this stuff
My dog is 12 yrs old she was having a lot of joint pain. On the vets advice I started using this as recommended. After 3 days she showed much improvement and as a daily supplement she is really doing well energy back much more mobility and a much happier dog.
My dog loves these but 2nd bag of Cosequin where the bites are very dry. I used to be able to hide my dogs pills in the middle with no issue. The last 2 bags would crumble when I pushed the pills in the middle of the treats.
I started giving my Miniature Schnauzer this after he hurt his back leg as a puppy. It helped tremendously so I decided to keep him on it prophylactic to prevent any more injuries and protect his joints.
These were so highly recommended that I was convinced they would be a good idea for my two dogs. Only one dog liked the first one I divided in half. However she got diarrhea and would not eat all day. I thought a half must have been too much to start so next day I tried 1/4 of one. Same result. She's apparently sensitive to an ingredient so I will be donating to someone who has a dog that's used to these.
My German Shepherd is showing signs of hip issues. Her vet recommended this. Just started so can’t really tell if working. Initial dose (3 per day) is for a month then dose lowers to 1-2 a day. She does like them.
My lab is getting older and my vet prescribed a product that is a bit expensive every month, so I saw this on Chewy (my one stop shop for my dogs) and thought I'd try it instead. He's done extremely well on these. Twice a day, loves the flavor and definitely helps his sore legs. That's what's most important. I want him to be comfortable as he ages. He has 2 young pups in the house now (16 months and 4 months) and he tries to keep up with them, but his hips do bother him. I've definitely noticed a difference while giving him this product for the past 4 months.
