I bought this because I read a study done by ConsumerLabs which highly approved this supplement. It mentioned that it helped with allergies. My small bichon/poodle mixes chew on their front paws. However, most of your reviews talk about loose stools. Mine don’t have this problem. ???

The main use of probiotics is to help with loose stools and/or gas, but probiotics can also help with allergies! The gut and immune system work together.

My dog did not like it

The chalky tablet is too big for my Maltese to chew so I cut it into smaller pieces but she either did not like the smell or the taste. I really wish it had worked

The chalky tablet is too big for my Maltese to chew so I cut it into smaller pieces but she either did not like the smell or the taste. I really wish it had worked since she has a sensitive stomach. This may work better for larger dogs who are not as finicky about treats/food.

I've always bought the Nutramax proviables since my vet suggested them to me over 5 years go. Dogs get into many different things like dirt, grass, ect which can upset & throw their digestion off causing minor gut issues. These proviable are a good gut maintenance> If you dogs issue does not improve after 48-72 hours after taking proviable, then you need to take your dog to the vet. As I said, proviables are good for gut maintenance but they are not for treatment use.

It took about 3 months to start noticing a difference in their stool. They have been religiously using this probiotic for the past 3 years. Our dogs have no gas and regular bowel movements daily.
