    Adverse Effects

By Harmful on Apr 10, 2021

My vet prescribed this for my dog who has bad anxiety and fear barks a lot. He’ll bark at anything and everything. Prior to starting Solliquin, my pup was on a organic hemp and valerian root calming chew by Premium Care. After about 2 months on Premium Care, my dog was showing much improvement. He wasn’t minding people passing in front of him, he wasn’t fear barking as much as he was when he wasn’t on Premium Care. He was much calmer and didn’t seem to be afraid of everything. Almost peaceful. When my vet decided to start him on solliquin, I was hesitant but hopeful. After using solliquin, I can honestly say that it does not work for our pup. It made him return to his usual ways of fear barking My vet prescribed this for my dog who has bad anxiety and fear barks a lot. He’ll bark at anything and everything. It made him return to his usual ways of fear barking at everything. He’s more agitated and on edge. He isn’t calm and peaceful like he was progressing to before with Premium Care. This product may work for some pups with lighter behavioral issues, but not for those like my Mini Dachshund who has big social behavioral issues like fear barking. I threw away the last little bit of my solliquin left as I felt it just worsened my pups mentality and was harmful to him. For people with puppies like mine, I truly recommend Premium Care Calming Chews and a lot of treat training! … more

Doesn’t work for dog panic attacks

    By Ce1128 on Apr 9, 2021

My dog is extremely afraid of noise: thunder, fireworks, construction, heavy rain, loud cars, etc. Vet has me trying this before prescribing Xanax. We are giving 4 at a time to a 50 lb dog. A.) The dog doesn’t want to eat when in panic mode. B.) When I can get her to eat them I don’t see a decrease in her panic response which is shaking, drooling, panting, pacing, running. Maybe these work for less extreme cases though.

    Solliguin, Does it work

By Mike on Mar 26, 2021

My dog has been on solliquin for a week now and I haven't seen any results yet, but my vet said it may take a while. the dog likes the chews and takes them readily so that's a good thing. Keeping my fingers crossed that they will alleviate some of her fears.

    Great product

By Good on Apr 7, 2021

These were recommended by my vet for my anxious dog. He has been taking them for a few years and he is better. These are NOT a miracle, but his anxiety is better. He's still nervous, but not as badly as before.

    Good stuff

By Ppbb on Mar 26, 2021

I have a whippet who has become very sensative and anxious. She is older and this has helped to calm her and return to her natual behavior. My vet gave me choices of brands and this works great for her.

    Very pleased!

By Jamie on Dec 1, 2020

My dog started becoming anxious as she's gotten older. Certain noises and especially fireworks and thunder stress her beyond belief. I tried a thunder shirt, a sedative my vet gave me, dog music, and treats; nothing has helped enough to stop her from climbing on and scratching me to the point I break out in hives. My vet recommended this product, I noticed she's not as jumpy and when the home alarm accidentally goes off she hardly reacts. She used to howl/yelp and run around! We haven't done 4th of July or NYE yet but my neighbors love any reason to light fireworks, so far she's just barked at them. My vet recommends upping the dosage leading up to the 2 big holidays but even without doing that My dog started becoming anxious as she's gotten older. I also noticed she's become more patient for her meal times. She used to drive me crazy but now she doesn't whine and scratch, she'll even go lay down if I'm not giving in to her because its too early for dinner. That being said, she's still happy and excitable so it hasn't turned her into a zombie dog. I wish I found this product sooner! … more

Can't get him to eat them

By Catmom on Jan 1, 2021

I purchased these on a recommendation from a vet I spoke with on this site. She was a great help. Except my cat will not eat these,AT ALL!He ate the first two,and will not even touch them. I tried breaking them into his food ,and he ate around them. Now I'm stuck with a brand new bag( 4 missing thats all).and they can't help me if he will not eat them.

    Good stuff!

By Kathy on Jan 13, 2021

We took in an older pup and she had a snippy disposition about things such as bathing, grooming and life in general on some days. This product was referred to me by a friend so I ordered it. It works great. It has helped her sunny disposition come right on out and she is a happier girl now.

    Meh results

By Dogmom on Nov 6, 2020

I think this product works but probably not well. Our dog has been on it for about 8 weeks now and we give him 2 every morning. I think we'll change it to one at breakfast and one around 2pm or 3pm, though. After he gets the 2 in the morning, he's super calm for about 3-4 hours. After that, though, he's nuts again. He's a terrier/whippet mix about 20 pounds and this dog seriously is the most nervous little thing I've ever met. He loves to watch out of any window of our house for any movement and screams when he sees it. The pills essentially make him take naps in front of the windows instead of pacing so that's a nice change but, again, only for a brief time.
