We recommend that you keep your dog in ideal body condition and not allow your dog to become overweight. The exact amount of food your dog requires will need to be adjusted according to age, activity and environment.

what ingredients does Nutro Ultra Adult Dry Dog Food include or not include compared to Nutro Ultra LARGE BREED Adult Dry Dog Good?

The ingredient list is the same for both items but the amount of each ingredient is different. The Nutro Ultra Adult Recipe has 25% protein while the Large Breed Recipe has 23%. This recipe also has a higher crude fat, calcium, phosphorus and omega 6 content than the Large Breed Recipe.

Before we started this kibble, our dog could only eat one brand of prescription, low fat, canned food which cost about $20 a day. This food is the only food (including other low fat prescription foods) that our dog can tolerate, and he loves it!! It’s saving us so much money and our dog has had no accidents since starting on it. If you have a dog with a fat sensitivity (particularly following a giardia parasite infection, even months after the parasite was gone), definitely give this a try!

In the past she always gobbled down new food only to turn her nose up right after I purchased a second bag. Not with this one. The only time she refuses it if she feels a bit off which happens no more than a few times a year. So glad we found this!
