    Doesn't sink

    By on

    Was very happy with this product (because they all sank) until the last two deliveries. I have a Koi pond so I need the pellets to sink or else they all float into my filter. About half of the pellets don't sink anymore. Don't know what changed with the manufacturing of this product. Guess I'm going to have to look for another company for sinking pellets.

    Omega One is the one.

    By on

    Ever look at the ingredients on the back of packages? I do, and the thing about Omega One is that it is most all fish, and not all of the "filler" ingredients that are in a lot of other products of this type. My fish love this, and it shows in their growth and colour. It has the different fish meats, and the greens these fishes need. My fish and I thank-you.

    Great Fish Food

    I would recommend the large Pellet food for gold fish. Especially if you have large Gold Fish. I believe the Fish really like the flavor and look forward to the pellets every day. Good Stuff!!!

    Missing Pro Gold, but this is the next best thing.

    By on

    We are former Pro Gold customers. These are the closest in size and ingredients that we've been able to find - that is affordable. If we could just talk Omega One into dropping the wheat, we'd be so happy!! It hasn't fouled or clouded the aquarium water at all. Our goldfish is really a pig with fins. She's almost a foot long from nose to tail, so the large pellets are perfect for her. If your goldfish is just large, definitely consider the medium pellets. If your goldfish is normal, go for the small.

    Fu Manchu, Grayson, and Bruce the Bristlenose Plecostomus

    By on Top 100 Contributor

    Give this food 2 pectoral fins up! Fu is a rescued 18" koi who is temporarily housed in a 75 gallon aquarium while his new home gets setup and cycled. He is bonded with Grayson a rescued 6" comet and they share their home with Bruce the Bristlenose Plecostomus. The pellets sink which is ideal for all 3 species, since a leading cause of illness in domestic fish is dehydration (crazy right?) and surface feeding can exacerbate the condition. The pellets are a nice large size and my fish actually chew them instead of just inhaling them like they do with smaller foods. I would like to say this food doesn't affect water quality and I'm 99.999% that it doesn't, but I have fed my fish nearly half the Give this food 2 pectoral fins up! 80% of them don't sink... I have 3 ponds flowing into each other, and the food must sink.. otherwise, all the food goes into one pond...

    Large = 5.0 mm +

    These are very large pellets. Great for Koi or very large fish. Also good for soaking and adding to gel food.

    Omega One Goldfish Food

    By on

    This is a very good pelleted goldfish food. It really enhances the colors of the fish, the gold colored fish will take on a deep, rich, red hue which is very attractive and people will comment on! (Visitors to my house have even been known to take pictures of my fish!)
