    Expensive, but worth it

    By on

This is literally the only food I buy for my plecos (though I also supplement with fresh vegetables). I compared all the ingredients of all the pleco wafers out there across sites, and this was the only one that had kelp/seaweed as its first ingredients, followed by shrimp (I believe) anyway, as opposed to fillers as the primary ingredient. It doesn't cloud the water and since I had an explosion of baby snails >_< I think these are just really nutritious to support the growth of all the living creatures in the tank. (Anyone want any snails, btw?)

The product was not what the video showed , the tablets were a lot smaller. The video showed a thicker tablet that sank and the fish nibble as they want. The tablet that this product is smaller , like a waffer. I have to break it into pieces.

    Hit and miss

I like Omega One foods generally (so do my fish Tetras, Rasboras, Loaches) the problem with these is that they often don't sink for quite some time so, dropping one in front of where my Snowflake pleco hangs out, is often a struggle. The Cory's and greedy Emperor Tetras also like these and for some reason, one of my cats (not a fish) decided she had to have them after I made the mistake of leaving the jar open ona counter...Duly noted.

Good Quality - Not just for fish!

    By on

I have a HUGE Pleco (approx 15") who I buy these for because the ingredients seem higher quality than other brands. Honestly I never see him eat but he isn't dead yet so I guess he likes them. Unfortunately the cats really LOVE these things and knocked a brand new container off the fish tank and consumed 3/4 of it. I will be buying again and hiding from the cats <sigh>.

    My catfish love it!

My Albino Bristle Nosed Pleco and my Golden Algae Eater both love these Veggie Rounds. They get excited the minute I drop them in the tank. The food sinks right away and dissolves slowly, plus it doesn't make a mess in the tank.

    Omega One Veggie Rounds

I would highly recommend anything from Omega One. Never any filler ingredients! Always exactly what it says it is! I don't buy anything else for my fish.

Pleco and Catfish are big fans!

I have a 75 gal cold water tank with BIG goldfish in residence, plus 4 catfish and a Plecostomus. The bottom feeders really love these rounds, as they sink - and right now, are too large to be swallowed whole by those piggy goldfish (unless I break wafers into pieces, which they adore). My Mystery Snail also enjoys these - usually Gary finds the wafer before Notch the Pleco does, so Gary gets the first nibbles before Notch wakes up and bulldozes Gary out of the way, to pick up the wafer and go hide in his hidey hole and gobble the rest. Haven't had any trouble with leftovers (goldfish are voracious eaters, and never leave leftovers uneaten) affecting water quality. Bristle nose Plecos love!

    By on

My BN Plecos love these! I bought them from chewy because they were the cheapest I found. They are always pricy but this is the best I've found, so you get what you pay for

    Not accepted by any fish

I like this brand, great ingredients. I can not get any of my fish to eat this food, even ones that eat anything and everything won't touch these veggie rounds:( And they do make water cloudy if not picked up soon.
