Omega Paw Rascador Cat Scratcher, Small

This whole thing is way too precarious for a scratching post. It's meant to lean against a wall, but it gets so much as bumped it falls over, not to mention a cat putting its full body weight on it! I was very excited about this scratching post since my cat prefers scratching upholstery-like textures, but the design ruins its functionality.

My kittens liked carpeted scratching posts more than sisal posts. They are wearing out their current post so I tried the Omega Paw Rascador Cat Scratcher. It took them a couple of weeks to seriously try it, but now they are regularly using it. They like it lying on the ground and leaning agains the wall.

First, I'm just so glad to have found a carpet scratcher. My cat doesn't like sisal, and he's alright with cardboard, but the vast majority of the time he tears up my carpet! Now, he finally has a designated spot of carpet for him to use. And with a little training, he's actually using this instead of my floors. I definitely have suggestions for improvement, though: 1. Make it look nicer. The patterns don't go with my other furniture, and I'd like for it to blend in better. Neutral colors and no patterns would be great. At the very least, I'd like to be able to choose the pattern and not get a random one. 2. Make replacement carpet pads! It feels wasteful to throw away the whole thing when it's used up. With the way its designed it seems like the carpet would be pretty easy to replace. +4 stars for literally just being a scratcher made of carpet -1 star for looks and no replacement pads
