Can this be used on leather furniture?

Answer by ChewyMay 25, 2023
These strips are not designed to be used on leather furniture.

Will these strips damage door frames?

Answer by ChewyJul 04, 2023
Clawguard Cat Training Tape works great on many surfaces, including door frames, and without leaving residue or damaging surfaces.

Can this be used on window and sliding door screens? And if so, can it be removed without damaging the screens?

Answer by ChewyAug 07, 2023
Clawguard Cat Training Tape is safe to use on windows and sliding door screens. And Yes - it can be removed without damaging the screen. Over time, the double-sided training tape might get a little dirty or grimy so it's recommended to replace the tape strip weekly.

Do these get covered in hair and lose their stickiness? Is there any way to clean them if that happens or do you just replace?

Answer by ChewyJul 21, 2023
CLAWGUARD Cat Training Tape is a double-sided medical grade tape designed to keep cats away from surfaces. Over time, the double-sided tape may collect dust and debris, therefore it is recommended to change your Clawguard Cat Training Strips weekly.

I should have got this and used it earlier before my cat decided he was an interior decorator. On the spots where I applied the strips, they have stayed on and deterred further destruction. However, cats will find other places. They use the many scratching surfaces we have for them. The scratching post would satisfy a big cat and they will use it. But upholstered furniture will always be a temptation. I was lazy and didn't use the strips fast enough to break the habit on the chosen love seat corners so some damage was done. Definitely recommend these strips as soon as you see your cat testing the furniture.

Helped deter my kitty from going at the couch. He would get excited and claw at a specific part of our ottoman but this has helped deter the behavior back to his cat posts and trees. The pack came with plenty of sheets for our use and I still have a ton in case I need them! Also they blend in very well

I highly recommend this tape for your furniture. I am so lucky that I noticed my new cat, Phoebe was scratching on the corner of my new sofa. I put this on it. It looks great you really can't see it. It's sticky and she does not like it. She has never tried to scratch in that area again. I put it on all the corners of my sofa and love seat. I used it for about a month. Took it off. Its been a few weeks, nothing :-) I am so happy. If she starts doing it again, I will just use the tape again. Very easy to apply.

It deterred them at first

Although it deterred the cats at first, they eventually got used to the stickiness and started biting at the tape.

I got these sticky strips to train my cats to stop jumping on the kitchen counters and table. I put a bunch on, and it took them a couple of tries jumping on the counters before they stopped entirely. Cats hate sticky, so it works like a charm. I left it on about 10 days just to make sure. Taking off was easy, but definitely go slow. If you rip it up too fast, it'll break and it'll be more difficult to get off. It left a slight amount of sticky residue in a couple of places, it came off easily with a little bit of goo-gone adhesive remover

New Couch- must have for training

Got these to put on a new couch and noticed that my cat was taking interest in it despite there being a scratch post 4 feet away. She hasn't touched the couch sense I put these up there. I will give a disclaimer that she is pretty easy going- I could have put a towel over the couch and that would have deterred her but that isn't as clean/nice looking as these. They have strong hold on my fabric couch and I've had them up there for 5 months now, and haven't have to replace them once. They do of course pick up cat hair, so maybe I'll replace once they get too unsightly, but so far it's been great
