My cat will move his bowl around and splash the water out. The mats we were using previously just let the water run off the edges and get under the mat, which was not good for the wood floor. These silicone mats were the solution we needed. The silicone material makes it harder to slide the bowl around. The raised edges generally help keep the water from running off the edges and for the times when he spills a lot of water, at least the mat prevents it from getting trapped underneath. They are also easy to clean and look nice and sleek.
It was suggested as an add on to my dog bowls. There was not a choice for size, so I assumed it would work. I ordered medium size dog bowls and it won't even fit one.
The placemat overall is nice quality and size, but the lip on the mat that says it’s to “help spills” isn’t helpful in my case. My dog laps water and it spills outside of the bowl. Which is why I purchased the mat. I was putting kitchen towels under the bowl to catch the extra water, but I wanted a better solution. I feel like the mat catches the water, but the lip is very minimum. I’m still placing a towel down as it spills over. If you’re buying for food. I would say this is a good option for you or for a cat tray, but not for a dogs water dish.
Water spots develop immediately on this, which makes the mat look quite untidy and dirty nearly all of the time (I made the mistake of getting the black color). It's really small, and only fits one bowl on it at a time - so I would not recommend for a medium or larger sized dog. Overall not great
One of my pups flat out refuses to eat from a bowl and another is funny about his bowl, and through trial and error I have figured out that placing their food directly on a placemat is the best way to get them to eat. I got two and they work great. The raised edge keeps food from spilling off. They are super easy to clean and seem very durable.
Gets things stuck to it pretty easily; food, pet fur, etc. but an otherwise good product.
This works great under the dog and cats bowls. Water proof and any food wipes right off. When you want it really clean just throw it in the dishwasher.
this is the perfect size for my cat's food but their hair sticks onto the silicone! it's not too troublesome though
It Serves its purpose, but nothing great. Not exactly what I expected but it works.
Placemat is not wide enough to hold two dog 4 cup bowls I order side by side!
