Is any of the meat sourced from China?

When sourcing ingredients for ORIJEN, the manufacturer's focus has always been on using ingredients from suppliers they know and trust. Part of this commitment is choosing suppliers with the technical expertise and discipline to give them the best ingredients available. While ORIJEN does not source ingredients directly from China, some of their B vitamins are made with raw materials that originate in China. This would apply to vitamins B1, B6, and B9, and is consistent throughout the pet food industry.

I haven't fed Orijen in a while, but I do rotate my dogs' food after every bag. A couple of days after starting this bag, our two senior dogs got horrible diarrhea

I haven't fed Orijen in a while, but I do rotate my dogs' food after every bag. A couple of days after starting this bag, our two senior dogs got horrible diarrhea for days! The third dog had somewhat loose stool, and the fourth dog started chewing his paws. I contacted Chewy and they will give me a credit when I complete the return. I'm really surprised my dogs reacted so badly. Orijen has always been a top food.

I just got this bag, and I will update the review depending on my dogs’ reaction to the food, but now I have a very large and expensive bag of dog food with a very large opening that I can’t close! I was expecting a closing/sealing bag when I saw the tap for opening. I was very surprised and disappointed when I couldn’t close it after taking away all the top. With bags without a closing ziplock or Velcro, a corner opening makes it easier to preserve the food. This bag might allow the food to get moldy or damaged by not allowing a proper closure of the bag. Not what I expected from an expensive brand.

Orijen changed ownership, and what use to be a great dog food is now low quality trash! Instead of publicly announcing the drastic change in ingredient sourcing and quality, Orijen had us find out when our dog started developing allergies, lipoma, and various health issues my dog never had before. My pooch has been on Orijen since weened; the health issues only started when the new owners took over. I will never trust Orijen again. If you love your dog, spend your money elsewhere.

We tried this and it was an instant hit once we made the full transition. No added incentives needed! Totally missed that there was a puppy formula so we’re trying that next!

My senior dog who is blase about his food was not. He was protecting it every time it was in his bowl. His stool is now firm when it has been soft for most of his life. The food is more expensive, but my dog is eating 2/3 of what he normally eats. The food actually smells like food and not the chemical smell you get with most. All my dogs enjoy their meals now. The freeze-dried treats are enjoyed as well.
