Where is ORIJEN dry dog food manufactured and where are the ingredients produced?

The manufacturer makes their foods out of two state-of-the-art kitchens. Their NorthStar Kitchen located in Alberta, Canada produces food for Canada, Europe, and surrounding countries, Africa, and Asia. Their DogStar Kitchens located in Kentucky, USA service the USA and South America. ORIJEN focus when sourcing ingredients has always been on using ingredients from suppliers they know and trust. Part of this commitment is choosing suppliers with the technical expertise and discipline to give us the best ingredients available. While they do not source ingredients directly from China, some of their B vitamins are made with raw materials that originate in China. This would apply to vitamins B1 and B6, and is consistent throughout the pet food industry. They require that any vitamin components sourced from China must be human grade, and as such they undergo intensive testing to ensure the purity of the ingredient and accuracy of the blend.

Game changer for my dog

Dash the Puggle absolutely adores this food. We can literally set a clock by his feeding schedule now. He eats this food immediately without any topper or broth. He coat is so soft and shiny. It's only been 3 weeks, so we haven't weighed him yet - he has about 4 pounds he needs to lose. But, I can tell you he is very happy.

Excellent food, but . . .

I can’t understand why they don’t use a ziploc top on the bag like they do with their cat food. There’s no good way to close the bag, especially since it’s made with such thick material (which I love). Please add the ziplock feature to your packaging! :-)

Excellent dog food

I've been feeding my 3 year old beagle this food since we first met her two years ago. She has stayed fit and trim over the years and her coat is extremely soft! I am very happy with the ingredients in this food, it does not have grains and is based on chicken, fish, fruits and vegetables. There is no meal involved! I intend to feed this to my beagle friend for her entire life.

Origen fit and trim.

3 of my 5 dogs are on this and all 3 absolutely hate it. Such a waste. I’m still trying but they refused to eat this product. Will go back to Fraum fit again.

The best and have used it for over a decade!

My previous beagle ate all types of Orijen in the 11 years we had her and she looked incredible! My new rescue beagle loves it as well! The previous foster Mom said she didn't like to eat her food much but I'm guessing it wasn't Orijen. The minute I introduced this beagle to Fit & Trim, she went crazy for it. I have no problem trying to get her to eat. The ingredients are great and hope our new beagle will live a long and healthy life like my previous beagle.

This is really bad

We have 5 dogs and all them refused to eat this food! Also it has a disgusting smell. Now that we opened the bag we cannot return it. This is a rip off!

Better than Blue

We fed our pets blue Buffalo for years. Our local pet store talked to us one day about the benefits of Orijen. More protein and veggies and vitamins. Same cost. No brainer.

Transitioning

Our two golden have put on a few pounds so we decided to switch to a food to help weight control. The Origen fit and trim looked like the best choice. We are close to fully transitioning to it. So far it’s gone very smoothly our girls love it and there hasn’t been any issues. Our older girl has had a few digestive issues with some foods in the past but none with Origen.

The idea that it is not processed like so many other dry dog foods appeals to us. We have not yet made a decision regarding if it will help keep our dog healthier.

Good product

It has good quality ingredients. It is a little expensive, but it is worth it to us.
