is pea starch the same thing as pea protein?

I read that it helps to have taurine in their foods to help their hearts - is there any in this food? Thank You.

All ORIJEN recipes are scientifically verified and formulated with the optimal health of your pets as a priority. These foods provide great sources of cysteine, methionine and taurine from the abundant meat ingredients used in our recipes and exceed all reported requirements by AAFCO and the NRC. The taurine content of this ORIJEN Small Breed recipe is 0.1%.

It says to feed my 11lb dog 1/2 per day. And feed them twice a day. So does that mean he eats 1 whole cup or do I split 1/2 into 2 meals?

We recommend you feed twice daily. Simply divide the amount suggested on the feeding guide into two meals, spaced eight to 12 hours apart. For example, if the feeding guide calls for 1 cups per day, we recommend feeding ½ a cup in the morning and ½ a cup at night. You may need to adjust portions as you learn your pet’s ideal daily maintenance amount. These amounts may change over time as your pet’s age and activity levels change. Always keep in mind a lean dog or cat is a healthy pet.

My 5lb Senior Dog Loves It!

My 5lb, 12 year old pup has quite a few front teeth missing so these small kibbles work well. I soak them for a minute in hot water and she gobbles her meals right

My vet always tries to get me to change food to Royal canine because they have a contract with them. I tell her, why would I change when both my dogs love the food

If you like what you’re eating would you want to change? My dogs are 11 & 13 and doing well, leave them be and let them enjoy the rest of their lives happy. Orijen is great food and they love it.

WOW!!! WOWZA!!!

I am AMAZED! The new Orijen Small Breed bag just arrived, 8/3/25. I poured the new food in & mixed the last of the old brand on the very top of the new food. I

I am AMAZED! The new Orijen Small Breed bag just arrived, 8/3/25. I poured the new food in & mixed the last of the old brand on the very top of the new food. I gave them a few kernels before putting the mixture in their bowls. They are their morning portion an hour ago. I turned around to find them eating out of their bowls like they had never been fed, ever! Then they were spitting out the old, large chunks & eating ONLY the new small kernel food! I was truly shocked! They ended up. Protecting their bowls like there was GOLD in it & their sister was out to steal the very last kernel in the world! All I can say is WOW!
