ORIJEN foods and treats are formulated for dogs and cats, with meat and poultry ingredients sourced from federally licensed facilities that must have implemented a HACCP-based food safety system. Meat and poultry ingredients must be sourced from animals that are not condemned, diseased, or that have died otherwise than by slaughter.

Does this have taurine and does it contain glucosamine and chondroitin?

Is it true there is no salt in this food? (Based on ingredient list)

While there is not added sodium, the sodium is derived from the natural ingredients. This variety contains approximately 0.4% Sodium on an As-Fed basis (approximately 0.45% Sodium on a Dry Matter basis).

On the feeding guide it is recommended to feed your dog twice a day, is the feeding guide referring to each feeding (cups) or total for the daily intake ?

For whatever reason, my 15yo Pug had a negative reaction to the food. I tried it to see if would help with his arthritis in any way but it actually caused him to have more stiffness and inflammation. He had a harder time walking. I had him on a different brand prior and he was doing fine, but just wanted to mix it up and try something new. Had to go back to the previous food and had to throw the Orijen away because it was making him worse. He loved the flavor though and has never had a reaction to food like that before. Weird.

Dog refused to eat

Orijen seems to be a high quality brand which is why I keep trying different foods of theirs for my dog because I want the best dry food I can afford for him but

Orijen seems to be a high quality brand which is why I keep trying different foods of theirs for my dog because I want the best dry food I can afford for him but he absolutely hates this. I slowly transitioned him to this food and once it was his only food source he refused to eat. I started mixing in his lower quality food that he liked in hopes he'd eat both and he just eats around the orijen to his other food. Im at a loss. This food is so expensive and my dog wont touch it

I had my older dog on Bully Max brand before. Since he's a senior now I thought it was time to switch him over. The cost of this food is not different from what I was paying. And he is my baby so I don't mind spending all the money in the world to keep him happy and healthy. This food did cause him to have stinky farts in the beginning though.
