To ensure the safety of their freeze-dried foods and treats, Orijen uses a freeze-drying process in combination with a post-drying thermal treatment. During the freeze-drying process, ORIJEN foods and treats are briefly raised to 90°C. This step ensures that the food is free of pathogens such as Salmonella and Listeria.

Good but a little crumbly

Bucky loves these and the other Orijen freeze-fried treats. One thing I love about these is that they smell savory and inoffensive to me, too. I like to grab a few

Bucky loves these and the other Orijen freeze-fried treats. One thing I love about these is that they smell savory and inoffensive to me, too. I like to grab a few of these and hide them in his snuffle mat, and it keeps him stimulated and occupied for a good amount of time. The only downside is that the duck flavor in particular, crumbles and turns into a powder more easily that the other flavors. They're a lot more delicate to the touch. I usually mix leftover powder with his kibble for a savory coating, though, so it all works out in the end.

An all meat grain free, natural meat with vitamins dog kibble. The food is even preserved with a vitamin extract. One of my Akitas had bone cancer, if he had been on a food with carbohydrates; as cancer thrives on carbs. His life would have been much shorter. All my 9 Akitas through the years because of Orijen foods lived 13 to 15 years old. Most Akitas never attain over 10 years with great health. I strongly recommend this dog food and treats. All are freeze dried
