Great Quality
By SDeLeon on Nov 28, 2017
This food was recommended to us by an owner of show dogs. Although we do not have show dogs, I wanted to give my dogs a product that was rated very well. Two of my 3 dogs love it - my senior dog, spit out the kibble when offered to her. In the short time I have been feeding my two dogs, I noticed that their coat is more shinny and their energy is up. I have to adjust to the smell - it is like being at a fishing dock.

My dog is in love with this food!
By ckgw on Nov 13, 2017
I researched the top dog foods, and this was one of the top 10. I purchased 2 different foods on the list. (from different companies) My intent was to use one for regular feedings, and one for treats. Yes, I am trying to put one over on my puppy, but if I find one that tastes good, she will never know that it is not really a treat. OMG, I cannot say enough good things about this dog food. My 4 month old AussieDoodle is in love with it. My Vet said it was ok to give this to my puppy. I am using it to partially supplement her daily feedings, but mostly use it for treats. I keep about 1/2 cup out of her measured daily amount for treats. Seriously, she will do anything for this 'treat'. I was I researched the top dog foods, and this was one of the top 10. I keep about 1/2 cup out of her measured daily amount for treats. Seriously, she will do anything for this 'treat'. I was having a problem coaxing her into her cage at night, but not anymore. I throw some of this food in the cage, and in she goes. No more growling at me at bedtime. When she picks up a stick on our walks, instead of trying to get it out of her mouth, and her nipping at me, I simply offer her a piece of this dog food. Immediately she drops this stick. And, actually it works with anything she has in her mouth. When she doesn't want to come in from our walks, I have a game that we play. I throw a pc about 5 ft ahead, and off she goes towards the house. I keep throwing pcs till we get to the house. She loves the game. The only negative is that it has a very strong fish smell, and one needs a container to keep it in. However, the smell is a small price to pay for a dog food that not only is of superior quality, but also has helped curb some bad behavior of a young puppy. Thank you Orijen for providing this food! … more

The best top rated dog food
By Bianca on Oct 31, 2017
My puppy has been on origin since being weened off of milk we rescued him at the very young age of 3 weeks. we believe he is a pitbull. This trueley is the best dog food in the market other then raw. It is rated 5 stars on dog food advisor and the ingredients speak for them self. This is the only dog food I can comfortably feed my dog. Yes the price is high but it is worth it because they eat smaller amounts and are over all much healthier because of it. I had an issue finding mold in m food and contacted Origin through their company website and they promptly replied. They told me reasons why there could be mold and even though they assured me that the process in which they bag their food allows My puppy has been on origin since being weened off of milk we rescued him at the very young age of 3 weeks. we believe he is a pitbull. An amazing company that cares about your animal and not about marketing, money etc. I highly suggest feeding your pet Origin. … more

Our Picky Eater Loves it
By Randy28 on Nov 20, 2017
Our girl [Honey] is a picky eater. She ate Acana Grasslands for more than a year because she had to. Our Lab and Golden gulped the Acana down. Honey would just pick at it all day. Now, she gulps the Orijen down in 2 minutes.

I think this is the best dog food.
By ckdab on Nov 2, 2017
My only wish is that they made in smaller bites because I have little dogs. I went back to look at dog food with smaller bites but this food has natural ingredients and little if any additives. I don't think you can beat it.

Orijen 6 Fish Grain Free is top shelf
By KLeK on Oct 2, 2017
I tried the Orijen 6 Fish Grain Free for my dog with a sensitive stomach. Be prepared for very high cost. While both my dogs love it, it runs right through my one dog resulting in g/i distress. I wont be buying it again bc of this. I think it contains too high of natural fish oils for the dogs system.

even the cat likes it
By Nature on Sep 9, 2017
My german shepherd dog really likes this dry food. The kibbles are larger than most that are for large breed dogs. Most other brands have kibble small enough for the little yapper dogs. Those tiny pieces get caught all over my dogs' mouth. My elderly cat walked up to the bowl one day, sniffed around, and started to pick out pieces to eat. Possibly because it is fish was the reason. Anyhow, my best buddys' coat is definitely looking healthier.

My Puppy Loves It
By Greg on Sep 30, 2017
Gave this a try after finding out our puppy is allergic to Beef, Chicken and Potatoes among other things. She is wolfing it down and her poops look normal for a change. My brother-in-law said to me that her poops were really small lol. Since there is little filler there is really not much waste eliminated with this food. As an aside, I had recently purchased another dog food before finding out about my puppys allergies and when I called Chewy about returning it, they refunded my whole purchase price and told me to donate the food to my local animal shelter. What an amazing company!

Changed Formulation
By ricrac on Aug 5, 2017
I've had my two Havanese on Orijen for over a year now. I couldn't decide between the Regional Red and Six Fish because they seemed to really love both. I finally settled it, buying both, mixing the two bags together so they get both every meal. Recently one of my girls has taken to sniffing her bowl and deciding not to eat. However when I tested it one morning, she gobbled up a scrambled egg, so she was hungry. She doesn't do it all the time, but it's becoming too often--mulitiple times a week. The other one eats as she always has-- inhales it. However, I think she's like Mikey -- will eat anything! I'm only here to reorder now because ants discovered the food that wouldn't fit into I've had my two Havanese on Orijen for over a year now. I'm only here to reorder now because ants discovered the food that wouldn't fit into the large air tight dog food storage container and almost 1/2 bag had to be thrown away. However because of the one's change in eating behavior I decided to look at a couple other Orijen varities and compare them nutritionally. I discovered the Six Fish has recently undergone a formulation change. I have to wonder if this is why she isn't in love with it as she used to be and is preferring not to eat over eating the mixed kibble. For this reason, I took away 1 star. The other one still acts as if she's getting the best meal ever. Now, I just have to figure out what I'm going to order. … more

little known company, great product
By littleblue on Sep 28, 2017
I researched best dry food brands for German Shepherds and came up with Orijen. The dogs love it and I've gotten both the Six Fish and the Regional Red flavors. First ingredient is always the protein along with vegetables and beans. Made in the USA!!!
