Best Training tool EVER!
I have 2 dogs. A Lab Mix and a 10lb Dameranian. I train both dogs every day and have used these collars religiously. This is my third set and they work as well as all the others. I have recommended these to all our dog family friends and people we've met at dog parks and the lake. It's important that you use them correctly. I only use mine for 2 big commands. Come and Leave it. Come is obvious and Leave it refers to items, people and other dogs. If you use them for too many things the dog will get confused. Example if i use the beep or vibrate for come, my dog learns when i hit that button, she comes. If i tried to use the collar also for stay, my dog would get confused. Do I stay or come I suggest Practice in your home first. Make sure you give a command with the beep or vibrate so they know what the action is for. Reward the dog for the action and repeat. If you take 10 minutes a day working with them and the collar, you will be amazed in a week. Both my dogs are 100% off leash trained and these collars give you security with the push of a button.. The collars are adjustable all the way down to my little 10lb girl
Awesome Product
The twin collars work perfectly for our dogs. We have a grumpy eight year old beagle terrier and a one year old strong-willed Plott hound. I stair-stepped their learning starting with the tones and then the vibration and then mild shock if needed. I would advise never to shock your dog until you have tested it on yourself so you know what they feel. I trained them over the course of several days with long walks on the beach. The collars worked as promised. Both collars could achieve a distance of 300 m provided the collars were facing downward. I learned the hard way that if the collars slide up, and the dogs are at a distance, the dogs body could block the transmission to the collar. However, just keep the receiver on the collar facing down toward the bottom of their neck. Also, the collars proved to be extremely waterproof. For three weeks or Plott hound chase sticks and seagulls into the ocean, and rolled in the sand rigorously day upon day. We never had a problem with the collars not working. Lastly, l would like to thank the customer service team at Patpet, when I thought I ran into a problem they were there to help resolve it. Kudos to Patpet for making a terrific product, thank you!
