Will the fountain work off the battery if you have it plugged in to an outlet when there is a power outage?

How long does the battery take to get to full charge?

The motor is quiet but the water echoes as it moves through the fountain. Is there a way to get that to stop? I have tried different water levels and nothing seems to help. It's also very random, it's never a consistent sound.

I waited two months before giving this product a review to insure accurate information about it. The BOSS-01 is a well made and reliable water fountain that's quiet/silent, easy to clean, and adequately sized soas to not run out of water for weeks with two cats. Granted, properly fed cats eating only a healthy wet carnivorous food diet don't drink often from a fountain, but reliability is critical for when the power goes out or simply for the rare case when they're thirsty. I have the fountain set to detect motion to turn on, and I leave it plugged in to insure it functions in the event of a lengthy power outage. When I first got it, I charged it full and unplugged it to test how long the charge would last and it went 4 weeks before I simply got tired of waiting for it to run out and convinced it has enough backup power and I plugged it back in. Additionally, I absolutely LOVE that they incorporated a light into it to make the water level EASILY visible at glance from across the room without having to get up close and down on your knees to look. We Love this fountain so much for its quality, easily obtainable filters, super quiet operation and reliability that we bought a second one for downstairs.

I first bought this fountain months ago to try out a cordless option. At first I was afraid Leo wouldn’t use it because it took him some time to warm up. After a while we noticed he preferred it to his original fountain. Recently I was cleaning the fountains and realized the other fountain had black slime, even though it had just been thoroughly cleaned. After soaking in vinegar and taking apart the pump, I realized there are areas that are IMPOSSIBLE to clean. That does not happen with this pump because it is not submerged in the water. I love this fountain for all of its convenience and how easy it is to clean, so I went ahead and ordered another one right away. Now my spoiled boy has his favorite fountain on both sides of the house.

Got this for my cat for Christmas. Liked it at first but would randomly find water on the tile floor. Pulled it back from the wall molding to prevent damage and put a towel under it until I figured out where it was leaking from to try to fix it. Finally figured out it leaks out the back and it’s constant now. No reason for the leak and no way to fix it. Pretty disappointed given the price of it.

Best purchase ever until....

I bought this in June because my cats love the faucet for water, I wanted them hydrated in the summer and it is battery operated so I wouldn't have to leave it plugged

I bought this in June because my cats love the faucet for water, I wanted them hydrated in the summer and it is battery operated so I wouldn't have to leave it plugged in when we were not home. It has worked like a charm! The motion sensor is amazing, in fact when it turns on it sort of "reminds" them to drink! It's easy to set up and to clean. And then disaster. I turned it off, took it apart to clean, charged it and changed the water, as I have for the last 6 months. I put it together again, filled the water, turned on the pump and NOTHING happened. It worked fine minutes before and out of nowhere, it doesn't work at all. I tried to find a phone number for PawsPik to request a replacement pump but there is no number. Then I looked at the recent reviews on Chewy and saw how many others are having the same problem since my purchase! The worst part is, my cats won't drink from their bowl now, because they enjoy the fountain, so now what? Chewy is replacing it, which is GREATLY appreciated, but what if it happens again? I am SO disappointed and frustrated! I hope the company looks into this and fixes this issue.

This water fountain is great. I was really concerned about an electric fountain because one of my girls likes to play with water, but it has worked just fine for them. The filter is great, i notice lots of cat hair when i change it LOL! I love this fountain and the motion activated setting is really nice. My cats were unsure of it for the first day or so but have come to love it.

Love this when it works. My Kitten loves it too, he drank from it quickly after setup. After first cleaning the fountain adapter that comes off is tricky to work again. It took days to get it working again then have to try it all over again. The filters were hard to buy again they were out of stock for months so we had a giant bowl of water. Very easy to clean if you want the hassle of getting it to work every time.

Great until it stops working

I had this fountain for 10 months then it quit working. I emailed Pawspik and they promptly replaced the pump system and it still didn't work. The issue is the fountain

The issue is the fountain head just stops, sometimes decides to work but mostly it doesn't work. My cats are now drinking from a bowl until I can find another fountain.

Cats love it!

I bought this as a second fountain to give my multi-cat household more options to drink. Out of my four cats only one is still hesitant. Everyone else is drinking

I bought this as a second fountain to give my multi-cat household more options to drink. Out of my four cats only one is still hesitant. Everyone else is drinking regularly from it. I like that the pump on this fountain isn’t submerged in water, this keeps mold from building up which has occurred with other fountains Ive owned. It’s way easier to clean and fill, and the filter design is a wonderful! Highly recommended.
