Previously I had bought a smaller version of this elevated dish, and it was great. When observing one of my older cats having a bit of difficulty eating from a low food dish, I bought this one and now she can eat at a more comfortable height. This model hold a lot of food, and the cats really like it. It is heavy and not "tippy at all. It is very easy to clean, and it comes with a plastic sleeve that snaps on the bottom so it won't scratch nice table surfaces. well made and appropriately "catified" with paw prints.
Well, Fizz would eat out of anything as long as it had food in it. Marigold, well, she liked the bowl, but not a usually sloppy eater, Mari slopped the food all over. I think this bowl could have been just a little deeper. I like the grippy on the bottom, and the height seems to make eating more comfy, even though that never stopped Fizz. But Mari seems to be a bit arthritic; has some trouble jumping on the counter to avoid Fizz, so the height is a good thing. All in all, a good solution for creaky cats and moms and dads who appreciate nice china at dinner time. But again, the depth needs some work.
I use the tilted version for food and this version for water. My two kittens seem to really like them. Holds plenty of water. If I let the water get too low in one, they will tap what's there with their paw to 'find' the water but that's only happened twice. They are drinking more now so I just needed to get used to how much they needed. Study, easy to clean.
The height makes for better digestion from what I've read by vets and these are well made and do the job!
Thought I’d spoil my soon to be 2 yr old cat with this bowl . I wanted an elevated bowl because I think it is better health wise for my cat and easier for her as well- she loves it as do I! The bottom rubber gasket really keeps it in place and the design is cute as well. I use this bowl to elevate her water bowl. I highly recommend. I was a little put off by the price but I did say I was spoiling my cat!
My cat LOVES her new bowl. It doesn’t give her neck stress or whiskers stress. It is wonderful.
I really love the way this bowl has helped my cat stop vomiting. The only problem I have with it is the little thin piece of plastic around the bottom to keep the bowl from sliding does not stay on when I wash the dish. I would have given the dish five stars, except for one problem. I have arthritis in my hands, so it is very hard to put the little plastic ring back on the dish. Other than that, I really love the dish.
Food fall out of the lip of the bowl as out cat likes to push food around while eating.
This is my favorite cat bowl, it’s very wide and shallow and of course raised. it’s the perfect bowl and very easy to wash
I have the smaller bowls from the brand which I loved so much so it took a minute to decide if I really needed to spend more money on these ones. But I was reading a lot about whisker fatigue and I still felt like with the smaller ones, they’re whiskers were touching but also since my cats are getting older, I’m trying to do any little thing to keep them healthy and strong as well. This bowl is perfect to prevent whisker fatigue but also they’re taller than the other bowls for their posture. The only thing is, they are a lot bigger than I thought and bigger overall than the other bowls, but that’s no problem. I just have to get used to it and be careful.
