Are the bowls dishwasher-safe?
Yes, they are, but due to the unique shape of the top and bottom of the bowl, hand-washing is recommended.
How much water does the Raised Water Bowl hold?
If filled to the the top, it holds 11.8 ounces, and each measuring line represents 1.7 ounces. For every 2.2 lbs, cats require a daily intake of 1-1.7 ounces of water, so the bowl's measuring lines conveniently show you how much water your cat is drinking.

Quite magical!
By Maggie on Mar 16, 2021
Not sure what magic spell lies over this bowl but two cats who previously shunned drinking out of any water bowl or fountain, preferring the bathtub faucet instead, are now drinking copiously out of this very charming bowl. Love the measurements inside allowing me to know how much they're drinking on a daily basis. So, now I feel I can dispense with the hassle of maintaining a water fountain. Very satisfied!

Cats won't go near it
By Palma on Mar 5, 2021
I mistakenly ordered the raised bowl, which is barely raised, instead of the extra tall which coordinates with the two food dishes I bought and which work well. This bowl is a loser. The deep, round, five inch diameter is way too small to accommodate my cats' whiskers. They looked at it for awhile, tried to lap, then walked away. Cannot understand why the water bowl is not wider or oval shaped. Hoped to have a matched food/water set for each cat, but this goes back. The taller one has the same diameter bowl so I won't be replacing. Most disappointing.

best water dish for my cat
By ErikaT on Feb 11, 2021
I have tried 3 different water fountains and several bowls. My cat takes apart any mechanical dish (including the feeder) and drowns her toys in all bowls, spilling water EVERYWHERE in the process. She won’t drink water unless she’s put her paw in it and tried to upend it first. I placed this bowl in a plastic tray, for spillage, and the best she can do is move the tray a bit. She pretty quickly gives up and drinks instead. She is, in fact, drinking from it right now. She managed to spill water everywhere with an ordinary soup bowl in the tray. The design is wonderful. She rarely even drowns toys in it. Most importantly she drinks a lot more water from this than anything I’ve tried. The dish I have tried 3 different water fountains and several bowls. I’m going to buy her one for every room. … more

exactly what I needed
By Saijoy on Feb 19, 2021
I have messy eaters. Somehow, they get their food everywhere, especially their water bowl. I had hoped that by having the raised bowl, it would help with the problem of food in the water. It did! they still get a little in there, but not as much and not as often. I think the only other thing that would help would be to completely separate the food and water by like 4 feet - which I do not want to do. It also looks like it is more comfortable for my jerks (the cats).

Delightful & Useful!
By braven on Mar 7, 2021 top500Contributor
My only worry was that my 9 year old cats would never figure out that this was a water bowl. But on the very first day my smarter cat (shhh!) drank happily out of it. Cat #2 took another day. The bowl is adorable and of solid construction, thick ceramic with a sweet outline of a cat face greeting them up through the water. Extremely happy.

Cute but....
By Pearl on Feb 10, 2021
One of our 5 cats is a dedicated, determined and deliberate splasher. Some mornings the water from the cat’s bowl is all over the kitchen! I’ve tried using a bigger taller bowl and placing a mat underneath it to no avail. So..I thought I’d take a chance on this bowl. Unfortunately, Clare was not deterred and there is still water on the floor. If your cat is just sloppy this might work. But if she’s a brat don’t waste your money!

Just the right height
By Dezd on Mar 26, 2021
Perfect bowl for feeding or for water. If your cat has a tendency to want to throw up after eating this is the answer, because my cat doesn't have to bend down to eat, she can eat level and doesn't have any issues now.

Water Bowl Too Small
By Cheri on Mar 18, 2021
Good idea to accompany the elevated feeding bowls, but this water bowl is way too small for anyone with more than 1 cat as far as holding enough water. I ended up pulling back out my cats' old water bowl.

Great item
By Kosty on Mar 30, 2021
Max is a very large cat with a big head. He liked the new dishes but was much happier when we got him additional extra-wide and taller dishes for both eating and drinking.

Great little dish
By Cenmad on Jan 15, 2021
Very good little water dish! We have to refill it twice a day for our two cats, but that just means they're drinking regularly, and getting fresh water when they do. I was skeptical about the removable rubber foot on the base at first, but it turns out to really help with stability. The height and width are just right, too. The cats still love the sinks, of course, but at least this little dish helps keep them hydrated when we're not around to turn the faucet.
