Not good for built in plaque

This doesn’t make a sound or vibrate so I wondered most of the time if it was on. It made like squeezing noises here and there. I did my teeth for 45 minutes and

This doesn’t make a sound or vibrate so I wondered most of the time if it was on. It made like squeezing noises here and there. I did my teeth for 45 minutes and didn’t see results. My dog had built on plaque buildup and this want strong enough to get it off. This may be good for a dog who has pretty healthy gums and not a lot of plaque built up as maintenance to prevent build up or if the dentist did a cleaning recently. I had hoped for that kinda result you see while scrolling face book and there is an ad for a miracle dog teeth cleaner. Im going to try something else maybe an electric nail filer to just get that first hardened layer off. I hope to save the teeth she has by practicing better teeth cleaning maintenance even if it is late in the game.

First of all the charging and setup are easy and it seems like it’s made relatively well. However, as recommended I’ve been very slowly over the past few weeks trying to introduce this with positive reinforcement. I started out by letting them sniff it. My basset didn’t mind the sniff but once I turned the power on he gets uneasy. My big mutt took a sniff and took off without the power even turned on. Now any time I pull it out (and get a handful of training treats) he bolts and hides. Not sure I’ll ever get it into either of their mouths!

I got this thinking I would be able to help keep my dog's teeth healthy without having to spend a small fortunate on cleanings. This is not something you can do

I got this thinking I would be able to help keep my dog's teeth healthy without having to spend a small fortunate on cleanings. This is not something you can do without getting your dogs accustomed to the sound, sensation and actually sitting still while you are working on their teeth! It took a lot of patience and persistence. My chihuahua is still not cooperating, but my cattle dog mix (who is generally more cooperative to begin with) is starting to come around. I'm still working on them and I do think this will reduce their need to go to get cleanings, but again, it's a process!

Tried using on “soft mode” with my 11 year old Staffordshire Terrier. He let me open his mouth, but as soon as the ultrasonic cleaning tip touched his tooth and started vibrating, he freaked out. Will take some practice to desensitize him to the process. My 1 year old Boston Terrier was very brave and let me use the teeth cleaner without issue. Because he’s still young, he didn’t have much tartar. However, I felt it was worthwhile to get him used to the tool and the soft vibration. The tool is lightweight and the LED light is very bright and provides great visibility. Overall, a decent product for a dog who is comfortable with having their mouth/teeth touched.

This is a fantastic dental tool set. The device is of solid quality, easy to charge, and provides several levels of ultrasonic cleaning, so that you can introduce it to your pet slowly and gradually increase the level of sonic cleaning (which will intensify the vibration and sound.) We have 3 dogs and a cat. The cat wants no part of this device, as expected. Two of 3 dogs allowed me to work on them for a few minutes, initially, but then did not show up for their follow up appointments with Mom the dentist. The third dog basically said, “No means no,” and never consented. If your pet will allow it, this device can really save you a LOT of money on dental cleanings at the vet and spare your dog from undergoing anesthesia.

I have a senior dog and want to limit his exposure to anesthesia. This little device is easy to use, and really works to remove plaque buildup. It makes a high pitch noise when working on his teeth, but no pain. The light makes it easy to see the teeth. I turn it on first, let him sniff/touch it, then I only clean 1-2 teeth each time, and treat him afterwards. Even skittish puppy is interested in sniffing and approaching the device. If he’s willing to try it, I will buy another one to avoid cross-contamination.

I didn’t realize after reading the instructions that the teeth cleaner would make such a strange sound! It doesn’t make ANY noise until it makes contact with the tooth. The sound definitely takes getting used to for the dogs and me! I just took it out and got them familiar with it and touched a tooth. Praise, praise, praise and the next day they looked interested and curious. Got a few more touches. The third time I actually got some tarter off!!! It will take some time to get them accustomed to it but it looks like with patience they may be able to avoid another $1000 dental at the vet.

Pleasantly surprised with the ease of use of this product. Cleaning/brushing my dogs' teeth has always been a chore. However, this tool makes it easier. No messy pastes or rinses needed. The tool is lightweight and easy to hold. I was afraid it would be too noisy with vibrations that would scare my pups but it only has mild hum. I am seeing improvements with only two usages so i have no doubt this will continue to be an important tool in caring for my dogs.

This dental tool looks professional. It’s USB chargeable, has a built-in light, multiple speeds, several pick heads, and a mirror tool accessory. When the tool is initially turned on, it is silent. When the pick touches a tooth, it makes a screeching sound like nails on a chalk board. This scared my dog and I was not able to clean any teeth. Might be able to use this turned off to scrape off tarter if the dog allows it.

I was a little nervous about trying a device to clean my dog’s teeth at home, but this kit completely exceeded my expectations. My five-year-old corgi has never had a professional dental cleaning, so I wasn’t sure what to expect — but I was thrilled to actually see chunks of calculus coming off his teeth! The LED light and multiple settings made it easy to adjust the intensity and really see what I was doing. A big tip: take it slow and make the experience positive. I gave lots of praise, pets, and treats throughout the process so my dog would associate it with something good. After a few sessions, he was much more relaxed, and I could tell he was getting used to it. The extra tools and USB charging are super convenient, and the ultrasonic technology really works. His teeth are visibly cleaner, and his breath is fresher, too. Definitely worth the investment if you want to stay on top of your dog’s dental care at home!
