Pawstruck Collage Chews
These chews don’t break up. They shred in strips. My dog choked on it and I had to dig it out of his throat. Please don’t buy these chews!!!
Choking Hazard
Purchased for a 50-lb staffy. She loved the taste, they didn't upset her sensitive stomach, and they kept her occupied for at least 30 minutes. However, toward the end of one of the treats, she got a small, flat 2x1-inch piece stuck in the back of her mouth near her throat opening. Even though it was very much softened by then, it was also sticky and created a wedge that she couldn't swallow or spit out. It was a matter of moments before she began to pace and whimper, and I had to manually remove it. So despite the great quality, I do not feel comfortable feeding her any more of these and would not repurchase or recommend, even if your dog is a slow and careful eater like mine is.
Dog Treats
Stella & Chewy freeze dried lamb liver and lamb hearts are excellent choice for dogs, My GS loves these treats, helps to promote training, attention and obedience commands. Arrived quickly, highly recommend.
Good times never last
Well, the dogs certainly enjoyed them, but they were gone in about 10 minutes. Based on the other reviews, I thought they would last longer.
Great long lasting chews
My dog loved these chews. The small was the perfect size for my corgi. It took him a few hours to get through, so I consider that long lasting for him! It didn't have any bad smells or sticky textures, which was another plus. The braided texture added an extra challenge for him.
Looking for something to keep your puppy occupied?
My puppy loved the collagen braid. So much so, that he gnawed on it during a party we hosted at our house with 20+ people. He sat in the middle of our living room not caring about all the noise around him, simply chewing at his collagen braid. It seems to last awhile and is durable. The only minor negative is that it does have a strong odor; however, if it makes my puppy happy, I'm willing to let it slide. :P
Long Lasting Chews
My medium sized (40 lb) 9 month old pup loved the bully rings so thought we would try these. She’s excited about them but it seems like it’s more difficult for her to chew through as she cannot seem to even get through one and I thought she was an aggressive chewer! However, if you have a larger dog who’s got an even stronger jaw, I think these would be great! I love all of Pawstrucks chews. They’re so much better than bones!! And when I asked about the difference between these and bully rings, the rings are made of beef pizzle while these braids are made of the deepest inner layer of skin called the corium!
Horrible smell, unsafe for my dog
Breaks off in tiny peices, it does not seem safe and isn't like other collagen chews that I have gotten
New favorite chew
Our little guy loved these chews! They are such an improvement in smell and durability from his favorite (but so stinky) bully sticks. They also don’t “fray” like bullies tend to, eliminating a choking hazard. It takes him days or even weeks to chew through one completely so they also have an excellent cost-to-longevity ratio.
Won't they do it!
I thought my dog (95lbs labradoodle) was going to get through this chew in minutes because he is quite a chewer, but when I kept checking on him, he was STILL working on it. After almost an hour, I was quite suprised that he wasn't even halfway through it. He worked on it here and there throughout the day, and It's day two now and he is still working on it. If you have a super chewer, I think this will definitely keep them busy and last them a good amount of time.
