Do I order these by my dogs weight?

For the best fit, measure from the bottom of the rear heel pad to the tip of the longest toenail. If the paw is in-between sizes, select the larger size. For more details, see the product photos found on this product's page.

Big mistake. Avoid it.

Every tried taking a blowup birthday balloon and trying to insert the paw of a suspicious little doggy inside of it, all while you're struggling to keep that mouth

Every tried taking a blowup birthday balloon and trying to insert the paw of a suspicious little doggy inside of it, all while you're struggling to keep that mouth wide open? That is exactly what these "boots" were. Glorified birthday balloons masquerading as boots. I had to purchase a different brand of doggy shoes.

I can’t get them stretched open to put on his paws! I know I have the right size. When I tried to force one on, my dog squealed.

Opening to tight.

The opening was tiny and too tight for a large dog, any dog. It would have stayed on but cut off her circulation. Returning.

bad fit

Pad size OK , ankle too small , had to slit two sides to get on , but would not stay on. Not the first kind of boot I have had same problem, even elastic stretch

Pad size OK , ankle too small , had to slit two sides to get on , but would not stay on. Not the first kind of boot I have had same problem, even elastic stretch ankles. X-Large not always for big footed DOGS . Have found one pair with Velcro straps that work . Can't remember if from chewy or other. Even some large & X-large I've bought don't look they would fit medium dogs .I have given many pairs singles to the VET to give to people .

Circulation cut off!

First of all, there is no indication as to how long it is okay to leave the bootie on for. "Not for an extended period of time" is interpretive. I got the x-large

First of all, there is no indication as to how long it is okay to leave the bootie on for. "Not for an extended period of time" is interpretive. I got the x-large for our Dobie to stop her from licking her paw after a surgery and within 12 hours her foot was unrecognizable. The swelling was so bad you couldn't see her knuckles or contour. I'm sure it was painful for her and very scary for us. The neck is way too tight!

Neck too Tight

I have purchased these before and really find them helpful for paw injuries. Unfortunately, the design seems to have been changed and now the neck is so tight I'm afraid it will cut off circulation. I have a Golden Retriever and the size chart works great to select size. I still have the package from my last order of Large and on this new product the paw bulb is the same size but the neck is much narrower and not as stretchy (see photo). It's a bummer because otherwise I really like the product.
