Would this be good to put a mystery snail clutch in to hatch and keep safe until able to go in tank

probably not because snail eggs need to be kept dry and this is submerged fully in the tank.

The Penn-Plax Breed ‘n’ Show Plastic Tank features slots in the case to allow for water flow and oxygenation. There are also openings on the lid for fish like bettas that can breathe air at the water surface.
