This is a wooden fence, I I ordered it because I work from home, and my sweet sassy, Charley's favorite place in under my desk. She knows that if she tries to nibble on anything under there, she will get attention. She completely destroyed this fence, almost immediately. I am so sad, because it wasn't cheap. I am going to try something else, but this one did not work.
Seemed like a nice product but my pup knocked it over a few times and the corners got loose and rickety. Not real impressed but I made it work.
We had boards propped to keep our dog out of rooms and saw these gates online. We bought 2 to fit across the opening to our living room. They look great, are sturdy, do the job and are easy to keep open when we want them them to be open.
Well made product. Our dog figured out how to move it from the edges the first time we put it up though. He does stay within if we are In the same space that he is. I'd recommend but should start early with it so dog understands.
I can't speak to other purposes, but this is a comically bad gate for cats, in spite of what the name and picture would suggest. It is significantly shorter than a similar gate we purchased from Chewy in the past, so that our 3 month old kittens can easily leap over it. And the slats are so widely spaced that the kittens can stroll in between them with zero effort. This would only contain a fat cat that has lost any ability to jump. It is also so flimsy that it is easy to knock over. Extremely disappointing given the cost!
This was just what I needed. I like the idea that it can be moved around easily.
This is going to be my new barrier to keep my kittens from wandering around the house unsupervised. However, my kittens are 3 months old and the female is still small enough to squeeze through the slats. They cannot climb them, which is why I got this type, but I will continue to use another barrier along with this until they are a bit bigger.
This gate is the best width and height for our need but it is so lightweight and unsteady that our pups can move it and escape from when we want them to be.
A good looking gate that is light and easy to move. Nice that it is not the typical attach to the wall or pressure mounted gate.
I love this free standing gate. We have a 12 year old Golden Retriever who doesn't jump but needed to be blocked from our stairs due to a leg injury. We didn't want to spend a lot, or put holes in the wall. We also wanted something we could move easily so we're not blocked from the stairs! All we have to do is swing one portion open like a door; we don't have to move the whole thing. This works perfectly for our needs and looks nice too! Since we don't have white trim in our home, we got the dark brown which is almost black. It arrived quickly and was packed well, as always with Chewy.
