My cat likes to bite on things the metal probably isn't good for the teeth also if you fling it it could hurt your cat if he comes in contact with the hard end that the feathers are in ... Also the tip part quit retracting, I took the feathers and metal off so it is a string on a stick my cat is really happy with just that!

This was a treasured toy when Keavy was a kitten. She loved all her toys along with this one. But now, as an adult, this is the only toy she loves anymore. It must be because it's interactive with a human. When you are a smart cat used to chasing living bugs, mice, rabbits, and squirrels, only a human waving a wand will do for entertainment or relaxation. She even wants me to wave it over her as she falls to sleep on the end of our bed. Yes, she asks for me to do that. The things we'll do for our pets.

Very easy to switch up toys for variety in play add a little spray cat nip for enjoyment and let the games begin!
